Tennessee & Nico Iamaleava are in active contract negotiations ahead of the 2025 season

This level of immense entitlement and greed is insane to me. At 18, you're already making orders of magnitude more money than doctors, engineers, surgeons, etc. (people who really contribute to society) that are more than twice as old as you. Anyone with sense would be grateful for $2 million a year as an entertainer.

That is what they call F you money (assuming he's not in debt), yet it's not enough for him. Insanity.

I’m done with Nico. To ghost your team and coaches the day before the O&W game is a level of immaturity I can’t respect. He’s not a leader.
I don't disagree, but I think Nebraska and Wisconsin got it t right by doing away with their spring games.

They have nothing on the spring for a football athlete to ghost.

Let Nico walk, let Merk show his stuff this year while using Nico's money to upgrade other positions, and wait to Faizon to come and redeem us
You think Faizon is going to hold his commitment? You can’t count on athletes these days and we could lose players (like Matthews) to the portal now. It’s possible it could have a domino like effect.

I’m not saying it will happen, but this could be bad.

It'd just be a relatively standard contract negotiation. The only reason anyone is even bringing up a possible "bad look" is because this is the first time it's happened(that we know of anyway) college program. Negotiations get like this all the time in professional sports leagues, and whether anyone likes it or not, college is going to be seeing more and more of them too.
No they don’t go through practice and then hold out. They don’t negotiate a raise and then hold out for another before another game has been played.

Most likely record if Nico stays 9-3

If he goes, 8-4. Are all these shenanigans worth the extra win? The
extra win could possibly mean the diff. in making the CFP.

Most likely situation is to regress if Nico stays? 🤔

The other side of it he holds his commitment, gets a year of valuable practice under his belt...and then Xfers.

That’s what NIL does. Put extra pressure on kids to perform extraordinary! KIDS! It’s really a sad state affairs. Makes me sick all around!
He’s not a kid. He is 20 years old. He can vote, go to war, go to prison, pay taxes on his millions. These “kids” are not victims in the slightest.
