Most of the time, but also will do it better ways and not have the influence/handlers some of these guys have. Thats why what Barnes is doing is so impressive as far as getting kids (with a couple exceptions) that have the right attitude and buy into the culture and commit to the team and winning. I think it's likely easier in bball with football staffs having a 6-7 times the amount of players to manage. However, these staffs are huge. Heupel and White do need to bring in a GM and I don't think David Blackburn would be bad for that role. Maybe it needs to be someone with a legal background. Like Derek Dooley. (Jumps back into bushes)

I don’t like this mess at all either but it’s now past the point of worrying about it. Your opinion and $5.00 will get you an overpriced cup of coffee at Starbucks. It just doesn’t matter. We all either deal with it or find other things to spend our time and money on.

As far as the Supreme Court goes, they made the only decision they could on NIL. Nobody can legally put limits on the amount of money an individual can earn with their name, image and likeness. It’s called marketing. It would be like telling Peyton Manning that he can’t do all those Papa John’s commercials. The only thing they can do something about is the transfer portal. There are ways to deal with that mess but not with the way things are structured currently.

This is what I've been saying. It won't happen, you're right, but it would certainly slow this stuff down. You'd just have some of the heavy hitters paying under the table while adhering to the handshake NIL agreement among other schools.

I didn't feel pain seeing my team bulldoze their way through the CWS. I didn't feel pain seeing them make the playoff. I didn't feel pain seeing my football team win 5 SEC championships in my lifetime. I didn't feel pain in 98 watching the football team win it all. I didn't feel pain seeing my bball team make 9 sweet 16's since 2000. I didn't feel pain watching the Lady Vols hang 8 banners. Being a Vol fan hasn't been a bad life for me.

Also, I'm not the one on here calling for paying players whatever they want to win games, such as a mediocre quarterback. I'd rather lose them just throw stupid money at players who aren't worth it. Doesn't seem like idolatry to me.

I’ll cheer for my team but not for him. But I really don’t pull for individual players until they earn respect and prove to be a VFL
