Guys we're in real trouble pitching wise....Morgado was supposed to have turned the corner and he hasn't and Catapano was supposed to be a really good reliever

The pitching numbers for us have been cartoon like tonight. It was a
tall order to win the opener as OSU has a tremendous season opening home game record.

Just a bad outing. Hopefully the control issues had their run tonight.

Hopefully we can win 1 this series....we lost to LSU something like 18-3 in the first game last year and then won the next 2

OSU's pitcher is very good....can't remember the last time I saw a UT pitcher go 7 innings 5 hits and 1 run...probably been 2 or 3 years

Hard to find many positives in this one.

Agree Freak. . . Since the two innings that broke the game open (3rd= 5 runs, 4th=6 runs) the Vols have played the game at a 3-1 deficit.

So that’s what im looking at is how did they play after the game was all but out of reach.

OSU's starter threw 100 pitches in 7.2 innings...now that's how you pitch...he only had 2 Ks but threw a gem

16 free passes from Vol staff tonight..11 walks and 5 HBP's...unacceptable

Beverlin Brings New Attitude for UT Pitchers

....Head coach Todd Raleigh agrees.

"This is the best staff of pitchers from top to bottom that I've ever had to work with, there's really no comparison," he said. "They're throwing the ball well, but it's more than that."
