Even though The Vols will travel about 600 miles to Memphis, it will feel more like home instead of being on the road as The Liberty Bowl Stadium in Memphis will be filled with predominantly orange and white. There will be thousands of Tennessee fans traveling to memphis, however there are thousands of Tennessee fans already planted in Memphis. This will be truly more like a home game as opposed to a road game.

We only leave the state of Tennessee 3 times this year.

@ Georgia
@ South Carolina
@ Arkansas

Becareful what you ask for, it is not far fetch. What alot of people fail to realize that we are known for winning games that we're not suppose to. Tennessee is regarded as one of the scariest teams in the nation. There isn't anyone that can say that any team is going to downright come in and beat us.

Ex: Last year we sucked but we beat a supposedly great LSU Team !

I think 600 miles is a bit on the high side
Probably half of people that attend UT games are from places other than Knoxville. I think by the time you take the people that live close to Memphis that are UT fans and the fans that travel from Knoxville you will have a good UT crowd.

And if that's not enough, according to last year's national census, 3 out every 4 people make up 75% of the U.S. population.:)

The Libetry Bowl will be plastered orange and white ! We will have a great crowd. Even the years with Deanglo Williams at Memphis, they still had only about 23,000 in attendance. I am sure 40,000 UT fans will make the trip and there may be a legitimate 15,000 here all ready. Ut will have a great crowd compared to memphis, that's why this thread is calling it a home game for UT. Hell we need to paint one of the endzones at The Liberty Bowl orange & white checkerboard !

I attended the last game in Memphis and the crowd was easily 1/2 big orange. That game was cold and wet, but at least we came out a winner on a last second field goal. I hope we do better this year.

I think it will be a sloppy game. We will win a close game and everyone will talk about how we are gonna get killed by UGA. Following the UGA game we get to tell those people how stupid they are.

Johnson City, TN is closer to Canada than it is to Memphis. Point being, it's a heckuva long state!
Man, I never knew that. Here's another one. El Paso, TX is closer to the Pacific Ocean than it is to the Eastern Border of TX.
