Just based on everything I have seen, here is how I think UT finishes their class in regards to Florida prospects. Please remember that this is just my opinion....
-Chaz Green
-Jeff Luc
-Chris Dunkley
-Demar Dorsey
-1 surprise (Silberman, Elam, Joyner, etc)
I am a HUGE Vol fan and this list is very optimistic--even for me--but a very attainable group nonetheless. I can definitely see us pulling Green and Luc...I honestly think both end up Vols from all I've heard in Knoxville. As long as Luc's mother makes it to town he is ours to lose.
Dorsey is ours if the visit goes as well as it could this weekend. As long as the Florida coaches can't talk him out of making the trip for his visit, I think we have a better a shot at him than the Gators do. It's great to hear about our facilities, but seeing them takes it to a whole new level. Also, the lure of playing under Monte Kiffin is simply an enormous draw.
My surprise would be Dunkley. We definitely have a shot with Nuke in his ear and CLK making up with everyone down in Pahokee. Never, ever count Gran out with a recruit in Florida. Dunkley would be a great addition to our WR corps especially with a few of our WR commits more than likely heading to defense.
As for the other 3 you mention as your surprise possibilities, I would LOVE to nab Silberman with our obvious needs on the OL. He would be a big time contributor from day 1 IMHO.
I've seen Joyner play 4 times this season and this kid just shows up and makes plays. It'd be awesome to see him end up in Knoxville, but I think he ends up at Ohio State. Whoever gets him is getting a future star.
I don't see us getting Elam after CUM got him one-on-one for their meeting and he reaffirmed his pledge to the Gators. I think we honestly put the fear in CUM when he came to town and walked away very impressed. However his recruitment plays out, he's a gamer. Would love to have him in orange and white also.
Tennessee is a force to be reckoned with in Florida and will be for quite some time. We are ripping it up in Georgia right now and looking pretty good in South Carolina and Alabama as well. This staff has already proven they are worth every penny with their stellar recruiting and earlier than expected(IMO) improvements on the field--especially on offense.
GO BIG ORANGE...REEL 'EM IN!!!!
