Thank god.

Just think, if he would have been capable (or willing) to mature beyond the level of a 12 year old girl, he would still be president.
(But then again, he never would have become president had he acted more mature)
I'd rather have a real president with the maturity of a 12 year old than a grown man that showers with one.

I'm surprised to hear that some of that trickle down money didn't get to you after all the corporate tax breaks were approved during the Trump years.
That's a problem with being contract labor. It was handed out though. Just not to us.

Do you view empathy as an important (or at least positive) character trait?
I know where you are going 'Herr Feelz'.... Not gonna play that game with you. For the most part empathy isn't relevant unless you bring it up then violate it, but that is more about hypocrisy

If you work for a company that has raised prices 2 or 3 times over the past few years and haven't gotten a raise that's on you. I refuse to work for a company that wants records profits and not getting paid myself.

Except for your choice to not work for free, this kind of sounds like socialism. With capitalism wages are determined by supply and demand of the skills offered by the wage earner.

The profits (and losses) go to those that are putting their capital at risk.

$500(food) of groceries will save you about $30.
Many families are spending 400/500 per week for the crap the stores are selling
$30 bucks will buy a half tank of gas to get you to the store and back.

So what! California gained a million teat sucking illegals.
Seriously, these pressured budgets in the radical states are going to be nasty as the years go by. Sugar Daddy DC won't be there for their handouts.

A company raising prices in inflationary times doesn't mean it is also increasing profits. The inputs to manufacture goods have all increased, and energy costs have just insured that everything from shipping to energy used in production has increased.

Wouldn't that also mean the costs for the workers has increased?

it should, but in the kick back form of government corporatism those types of "cost" increases are protected against. the squeezing out of mom and pops minimizes hiring pressure from the bottom. When companies start making it big, the big fish are allowed to come in buy them out, and chop up the existing company losing those jobs. Regulations are a corporations best friend and protection thanks to all the lawyers. We keep the cost of business so high that we can minimize the job mobility of the individuals. Combine that with an extremely limited education system that doesn't teach critical thinking, and a society which pushes dependence and demonizes independence there is very little "market" push for higher wages.

We are consumers. We "consume" the widgets, that's pretty much all that matters, we don't care where it came from, or how it was made, as long as we have the new shiny thing.

The emphasis on buying new instead of repairing all, Right to Fix, also insures that many good paying trade jobs don't exist to maintain like we used you. Which just feeds back into the dependence on the government and corporations continuing to crap out worse and worse products.

Interesting that the teet suckers you refer to put more into the system so the red states can fund their balanced budgets on the DC teet.

That’s what I’m hearing from tons of clients across many industries. Their top line is fantastic and often higher than ever but their bottom line isn’t good because they can’t increase rates fast enough to keep up with the cost of materials while at the same time dealing with a workforce looking to work less and make more.

Yes, and if they demand their pound of flesh, too, it just keeps the escalation cycle spinning. On of the alternatives is that companies cut back somehow, but that will mean jobs. Nothing is fair in life, but perhaps having an income not matching the cost of inflation is better than having no job.

As a country all across the board, we've never really worked to tame inflation; all the effort has been to keep up or somehow think you can get ahead. We're like a country that would go to AA and keep on drinking with the belief we are fixing the issue ... only more recently the government is providing alcohol to those "who can't afford it". If you can think of a way to pare down profits and make wage cuts at the corporate level, go for it; but there's that saying that he who has the gold makes the rules. The other need is to keep government and the income redistribution schemes out of everything. There's nothing pleasant anywhere about breaking an inflationary cycle.

Oh, it most certainly isn't. When the people that turn the wrenches and make the widgets are the ones making the sacrifices.

My gawd you have all of the qualities of a boomer. You simply hate workers.
