We are definitely a Top 25 team lol. We're just not a Top 10 team. Has this team met expectations? Not yet, no. But good lord, we're still one of the 25 best teams in college basketball.

I have my fair share of serious concerns about the team, but to say we aren't worthy of being ranked is just wrong.

You're on to something. Basketball losses in mid-January --even ugly ones -- shouldn't cause all this whining. They aren't good. But they aren't fatal. Tennessee will be in the tournament with probably with a 3 or 4 seed.

We looked really good early on, but have looked suspect since beating Mizzou. We should still be in the top 25, but more around 20.

Being a top 10 team and talked of as a final 4 team was premature and has definitely gotten to this team's head. As of late we look like a middle of the road sec team.

Not top 10 but should be ranked. Season will depend on springer staying healthy and assuming point and if our starter bigs finally assume leadership roles and start playing like they've eat their spinach before games. You can have all the talent in the world and be losers if you play like pussies.

Do you even watch college basketball? Seriously, you can’t name 25 teams in the country better than UT. We’re in the middle of a season in which Duke, UNC, and UK are a combined 18-18. News flash, IT’S BASKETBALL. Do you know the last team to go undefeated wire to wire was 45 years ago? It’s part of the game. Losses happen and blowouts happen. Doesn’t mean we have a bad team. Sometimes it’s just not your night. Even with how inconsistent a few games have been we are still 10-2 and 3rd in the SEC. Idk if you have noticed but this conference has dedicated itself to basketball just like football and there are great coaches littered across the conference. There are hardly any cupcake games anymore. Nobody said we were going to run the table.

If we stay healthy & no more Covid interruptions also the pall hanging over our Athletic department dissipates. I believe this team comes together chemistry wise and tops out at the right time. If we get good draws and play up to abilities could be a great ending. We have the team just a matter of getting them there with the right mind set.

We are a top 25 team with Springer in the lineup but I'm not so sure we are without him. It hasn't been pretty.

virginia lost to a 16 seed man we're 10-2 its not that serious...

in 2019 UVA went 35-3
2018 NOVA went 36-4
17 UNC 33-7
16 NOVA 35-5
15 Duke 35-4
14 UCONN 32-8

it isn't the end of the world losing brother we're still on the same win pace as a lot of these teams lol dont be a noob

I have always thought the rankings are a joke until later on in the season when all have finally at least played halfway through their conference schedule. This along with the weird year due to Covid has the rankings almost being a joke. My opinion on this and I know they have to start somewhere with rankings. I will reserve any positive/negative opinions on this team for about 4-5 more games and then things will make a lot more sense.

Just a recruiting tool. It's good for keeping the program in the headlines. For that reason rankings are important.

this team only has three problems
cannot stay in front of the ball at half court
cannot shoot
not big enough to contest really good rebounders
where does that leave you if you know basketball

This team was definitely overhyped by some of the media but they are a NCAA tourney team and with any luck; they have the talent to make a deep run. Hopefully, Coach Barnes will have them playing their best ball in March.
