Tennessee sits player...

It shouldn't have gotten that far.

He should be ashamed of himself.
He didn't want to discipline his own player at the expense of a "Tennessee fan".

He sent the wrong message letting that dude play last week. I've lost respect for him as a person.

Say what you will about Spurrier, but he had the right approach when it came to players hitting women.

I haven't lost respect for Saban, I never had any.

There was once speculation that Saban’s success was due to his having sold his soul to the Devil. The truth was that the deal was contemplated but the merger was stopped by the Federal Trade Commission under anti trust law 😉

Why did you ever have any respect for him as a person?

Am I wrong or where there not two videos of him striking people. One was of the girl, and another was a first person view from a phone.

He is very good at what he does. That involves a certain amount of professional respect at least. He has helped multiple young men become millionaires. But one could ask at what cost

Saban is wrong and his comments are stupid but the situation with Tank is different b/c it's a legal matter still pending. Some say he's sitting because of his hand, but either way, he hasn't been suspended, he isn't playing due to the legal matter not being closed yet.
Not saying your wrong, but when he was cleared by the student disciplinary council (or whatever it’s called), why would the school hold him out unless he was later convicted of a crime? Seems like the school looked at it and decided he hadn’t done anything requiring some type of punishment - seems like the matter is resolved from the school’s perspective unless further information comes to light?

From what Heupel has said, he has to settle the legal matter now. The school's decision is different from what the D.A./courts do.

Fair enough. I would call that respect for him professionally. When I think "respect as a person" I generally think about morals, values and family. I'm sure we all know the stories. I'll give you 100% professional respect. Personal, waaaayyyy lower.

Saban is getting tons of bad publicity on Twitter and even some national media outlets. Maybe if it keeps mounting he will be forced to take action.
He’s doing it to remind everyone who’s actually in charge of the SEC.
Bama been getting treated like every other team in the SEC lately,
He don’t like it and reminding Sankey and everybody he’s the boss by doing the exact opposite of what everyone in America (except his inter breeding, brother sister offspring fans of Alabama) knows is the right thing to do!

The little dictator would be wise to retire now as his reputation will end up taking a massive blow if he continues to coach. God knows what could be dug up on him, ask Jimbo Fisher.

I lost respect for Saban long ago for "Handling it internally." Ultimate little Man complex.
