She wasn’t I think it was the first pitch of the AB that she flew out to center and on the broadcast the ump was holding up 1-0 before the next pitch

Just got home some more on site observations: Brylee Mesusan I have no idea if she can hit long term but she is fastest to first I've seen in a long while for UT. Boo's homers were long an mostly into the wind. Gotshall looked ok til she got the runs on and Karen came out. All of a sudden she went on the attack, her speed jumped and as Forest Gump would say "and that was that." Rylie was catching the bats too much. She seems to do better with steady work. Simpson seemed to have more pop though a very limited sample size. Destiny looks likes hitter, has a history of being a hitter but has not got going yet. I think a lot of it was ETSU related but really good crowd for midweek.

Mesusan to me is the best of the 3 freshman OF. Her speed and ability to slap, chop and drive is a need. Her speed is better now than it was before her acl surgery her Jr year.

Would like to see her over Ahlin to see what she can do. I feel like Mesusan has been able to chop and put the ball on the ground, whereas, lately Ahlin has been flying out consistently.

Glad Payton had a good showing. Need her to be confident but just as important for Karen to be confident in her. We have the best 3-deep staff in the conference. Good SEC teams going to score runs and win some games. We just need to win series. Sweeps are a bonus. That shutout streak was great but I want to be realistic. Our lineup is in flux due to Taylor’s injury. If not for that our lineup would be stout! We have a solid 7. That leaves 2 spots between the rest, I’m like some and would like to see Brylee get a few swings. She is lightning quick and can field, throw, and steal.
