I believe that 180+ pitch game awhile back may have taken something out of Ashley....hope she is not injured again but fear the worst ......why would she be taken out in 3rd inning yesterday if everything is hunkey dorey with her ?

Should start Pickens again tomorrow and hopefully she can get back on track......at least there will be a different unp behind the plate tomorrow.

Florida has got to be wondering what they have to do to beat us. They were up 9-3 at one point & it looked bleak for the LVs bc they weren't doing jack with the pitching & batting.

I missed the game as was over a friend’s house for a cookout and then packed for flight from Nashville to Boston.

I pulled up game thread not knowing the final score and read each comment, played by play.

Doubt you'll see her tomorrow. According to an interview earlier this year, the staff has a week-long plan to ramp her up to her Friday starts to manage her chronic issues. Even with the short appearance yesterday, it would be unusual to change that.

What a win! Showed character to come back. Very happy for Charli. Big question is game 3 starter. It could be Ashley to try and slam the door and sweep since she only tossed 2.1 innings in game one but her importance is down the road and don’t want to get greedy. Karlyn only pitched 1 inning and doubt she would be that off again especially with different ump, and Payton has only thrown 3.2 innings in the two games. So theoretically any one of them could get the call to start ????? and of course all three of them could see a little action.

Only Ashley knows how she feels and if she feels good she will pitch some. I suspect Karlyn will get the start and will rise to the challenge. I will be there in person loud and proud.

She only threw two innings yesterday and I believe she threw twice vs LSU

And I was against it then too. Shes way too important for bigger goals.
