As long as the other team shows up at the same time, I don’t see a problem with the start time.

However, I do see a problem if the #1 seed is the only team required to play twice in a day. That is dumb, especially when the conference has options.

Really not a good option for our pitching, but not caring that much about the SEC Tourney anyway. Hopefully we win, but I don't think it is going to have much effect on the regional and that is where we need to win. SEC Tourney making us play twice in one day as the number one seed is ridiculous, but we can win them and get to the title game. If we don't no big deal JMO.

It’s because the 1 seed has the last game of the quarter final session, which is stupid. Otherwise, we would be playing today.

I’ll play the other side, championship teams find ways to win. If this team is who we believe they are, then two games is no problem. 10am game (9am based on body adjusted to EST) isn’t ideal, play ball and take care of business

They can do it but it definitely makes it harder. Seems unfair to be the one seed and get this treatment.

Agree - but pitching is a key in this type of situation. It is not like a series against the same team where both teams have the same concern. If they win, great. If they lose because of not being able to use their best while the other team uses their best - it is like punishing the team that won the regular season play. There are options - they could adjust.

Don’t disagree on timing. Seeding and weather don’t always communicate. If it was going to happen this is the best year for it in regards to our pitching depth.

It’s Tennessee and then everyone else. She will have interest from others but she will be ours to lose. Best catcher in the state of Tennessee the last decade and she’s only a Soph.

She will be a day 1 starter behind the plate. If she was there today, she would be starting. Coaching staff was part of her choosing of Farragut (Alcoa being the other) and have made their presence known at games. Karen and Chris seen often.

Thanks for your knowledge! Since we do not have a pitcher this class coming in when will the next class for a pitcher and who are your best bets. I know its real early but you always seem to have really great insights. I would wish for a portal similar to Payton this year!

They have 2024’s in Erin Nuwer
and Payton Tanner. No need to take a pitcher in the portal as a must unless it’s a LHP who spins it.

Should be, Pickens, Payton, White “should be” a good place to start. If a game changer pitcher is there then you exhaust it. Just not sure it’s a need like last year when Ashley was uncertain. Does Simpson stay around, does Charli stay around? If one or both leave then the door opens…but to me not as big of a need as last year. Biggest jump for Pickens will be from this year to next, she’ll go to another level.

I think all 5 may return as well. If a top shelf pitcher is in the portal then I would go after her, I kinda like the “three headed monster” approach so we can start someone different each series game. But I think we could get by with what we have. In regards to Nicola and Charli, all the the things I’ve heard and read seem to indicate they are happy here, like their teammates, so they may be content with their roles and see if they can increase them.
