I haven’t really followed the transfer portal in softball but if it’s like the other sports (and sounds like it is) I don’t think it’s surprising. Kids don’t want to wait anymore. If they don’t think they’re going to start, or simply see a better opportunity elsewhere, they pack it up and hit the portal. This is just the new normal.

Would make sense, HC recruited her when he was an asst at Texas AM

She made a total fool of herself yesterday. I believe the announcers were saying she was arguing that Karen convinced the umps to call a rain delay when in fact it was the NCAA reps that had the authority to do it. Karen had no input nor did the umps.

If you were here Karen was playing some games to get the game called. IU coach took it to another level especially after they called it. It cost her in the long run the extra time letting the field get wet messed with her pitcher.

No I was not. I saw it on a tv replay on the SECNW and they described it as complaining Karen got it called. So maybe Indy coach did have an argument but agree she turned it into a circus. But as it turned out, that was her teams only chance to get back into the game so guess she did all she could.

I don't have anything against Alabama softball, but yeah, that 5 seed was so shocking I told my friend I was watching with that I wouldn't be surprised if there was some sniffing around to see if there were some shady dealings behind it. NOT that I'm suggesting there were, but more saying it was THAT undeserved IMO.
