Great game by Payton. Canady as good as we’ll see all year. Never thought I’d see Kiki strikeout 4 times in one game but I also doubt it happens again. Time for Texas, need Karlyn to be as good and scratch out some runs.

First game all weekend that has been a pitching duel. We have a few batters that have to get going but it is hard to tell with that quality of pitching. Probably the best pitcher we will face all year especially with her hitting that changeup.

Definitely the best pitcher we will face. I would say the bright spot is that we had what 5 hits? the problem was we just didn't know to how play fundamental softball and move runners over

Isn't Pannell a shortstop/third baseman--and a good hitter? I think I'd be playing her rather than Faw unless her defense is suspect. Wasn't she our starting shortstop last season and was hitting well before hurting her shoulder?

Understand LHNW will be gone when TX joins SEC or they will not be able to be the exclusive TV service for TX games. Not sure how its going to work exactly.

IMO I think they are using her too much in this early part of the year. My guess is by mid to end march she is going to be gassed. The fact that their offense only had 1 hit the entire day and they won just speaks volumes about how bad Stanford really is offensively.

Granted in my head I just knew that we were not going to win when Canady went in because we have not seen pitching of that caliber so far this year, but the game is over regroup and focus on Texas. I think we'll win this but it'll be a dogfight. Hopefully KP works low in the zone and doesn't leave anything over the plate.

Agree. Similar situation we are in, in that we have to learn to win without having to go to PG when things get rough.

She is throwing 75 at times but speed is not all there is in pitching
