Losing at home to the worst Bama team of all time to end the season is the biggest embarrassment in UT softball history. Drama? I'd say Prophetic.

I think for me Puni & Milloy were having better seasons as well as Beautae who was offensively better than what we had at 2nd. Also we had a staff back then, only working with 2 pitchers the entire year was going to hurt going forward. UCLA & Florida have 2 pitchers, but their offense is very dynamic and can beat you other than the long ball

They made Tennessee softball. Now…that doesn’t mean they are immune from criticism.

Even if this score holds, CKW has been very successful, including the past two seasons. Her job should not be in question under any circumstance.

However, UT athletes (as a whole…not just softball) tend to spit the bit frequently for some reason. It wouldn’t hurt for CKW to at least try to evaluate that in softball…same for the other coaches because football, baseball and basketball have all come up shorter than expected in the post season.

For some reason, UT athletes are not loose in most of the biggest moments.

sucks for PG who has been dynamite for us these last two seasons. she’s better than this, and i really
hope she knows it. she’s been one of my favorite lady vols that’s came through this program. looking ahead to next year, we’re gonna have a much different lineup. lots leaving, lots coming in. new pitchers, more speed on the bases. karen needs to focus on getting an experienced arm and some girls who can bat for average. we have enough power, we need girls who can get on consistently.

She has been getting hit hard this entire series…and not just inside. Hard to know why.

No matter what happens this year she better portal in some hitters what we have on the bench may be decent but no game changers. Leach girls and Faw are not going to take you anywhere near a championship.

i think the freshman class will shock a lot of people. some will start. i’m sure she’s gonna get hitters in the portal. it wasn’t truly a need this year seeing as we got most of our “elite” hitters back this year. they all, besides boo and west have regressed. puni is understandable for me, it’s tough coming back from a shoulder injury.

Better team era yes, but look at the offense…not as potent. Idk the numbers, but just from the eye test a lot of hitters (Milloy, Puni, Rodriguez, G) aren’t as successful as they were before. Puni is the exception just considering her shoulder surgery. We lost Beautae which was tough, didn’t expect Mealer to have as high of numbers considering the jump in competition, Nugent is good considering this is her first season get ample ABs, & Faw just can’t catch up to the pitching. That’s a lot of holes to fill.
