Brock has hit the ball hard in her at bats.I really do not understand the thought process of constantly moving people around. I would play boo at 1st, Pannell at 3rd (until Puni is cleared for defense), Des at 2nd and Mealer/Faw (if she shows improvement) at SS. Nugent at catcher every game. G has absolutely business playing right now, literally none. Also, no Brockenbrough at DP or OF is baffling in my opinion. Towards the end of last season she was one of our most consistent offensive players. This has been a frustrating tournament. We have way too much talent to be playing like this offensively.
No Katie either. Boy Karen will go the extra mile to get G in the lineup, and never thinks about pinch hitting for now.I really do not understand the thought process of constantly moving people around. Okay hear me out I think the fact that G's swing is structured to lift the ball is a big problem and you saw it in her last AB when the pitch she struck out on was over the plate and I'd say for a good amount of hitters they are making solid contact with that ball.No Katie either. Not trying to defend Bama 'cause I can't stand them, but I guess you didn't see my post last night concerning Alabama. They added a stud pitcher from Central Arkansas as a grad student. She is the real deal and already has a no-hitter this season against Villanova. Her name is Kayla Beaver, stands 6'1'' and is very intimidating. She reminds me of the girl they called the Night Train from years ago and pretty sure she will be their ace this season.I mean the only reason Bama was ever able to hang with top teams in the last was because they had top tier pitching. They do not this year so obviously you have to play lower competition in order to gain some confidence for your pitchers.
She has a baseball swing played with her brothers too much I guess.Okay hear me out I think the fact that G's swing is structured to lift the ball is a big problem and you saw it in her last AB when the pitch she struck out on was over the plate and I'd say for a good amount of hitters they are making solid contact with that ball.
Oh I know that she is good. I followed UCA a lot during the latter half of the year, but I am saying 1 stud pitcher isn't going to carry you to a long post season run. Look at Stanford, without Canady they are just another team and I am being honest about that. Not trying to defend Bama 'cause I can't stand them, but I guess you didn't see my post last night concerning Alabama.
