Who is the dumb a$$ ump behind the plate? Doesn’t know a strike from a ball. Batters are so confused also. Calling balls and strikes is not that hard if you have the slightest idea of what you are doing.

Panell should have been on the outfield side of 3rd base to take that through, and then she would have gotten her out with the swipe tag. Instead, she was on the infield side of the bag, the throw had to come to her past 3rd base, and then swipe back toward the bag/runner to make the tag. That extra time in letting the throw come past the bag cost her.
