Tennessee starting center Brandon Kennedy out for the year

What the the hell????? Have you been apart of Tennessee football the past decade? We are definitely cursed. I don't have the time to research all the statistics but I'm pretty sure we've lost starter after starter year in and year out in just fall practice. I don't want to hear that crap about LSU losing ONE player.

We’ve lost a little more in numbers, but as far as impact players, LSU’s loss couldn’t be more catastrophic. You say “we are definitely cursed”? So there is an actual curse on the Tennessee football program? You believe in curses? Do you see shamans for medical healing too?

My only concern is BK not the team. Broken leg transfers in now torn meniscus. Tough breaks is an understatement. Pulling hard for him to bounce back.

Kennedy has had a history of injuries so this shouldn't surprise anyone. He should go ahead and hang up his cleats as it's clear that he'll never be fully healthy for major football.

We'll be fine at Center with Ryan Johnson, and hopefully Carvin is ready to roll at RG, it's always tough for a Freshman in the SEC.

It was keeping him from advancing at Bama.

I thought that was what I had heard and read about him. It is disappointing it happened, but by this time last year we already had at least 5 serious injuries to starters. If I remember, there was concern noted during practice reports the last two weeks of fall camp that he was on the sidelines a lot.

Can someone please start pulling those damned pins out of the voodoo doll, please! This crap is getting out of control

I didn't think Ryan Johnson had a very good game vs. WVA (it was hard to keep up with who was at the RG spot, so i may be off on that assessment.) I know big 76 had a rough go at RG, he may not be all the way back yet.

Anyway... I'm guessing he will slide over to center now. Who is the backup at center? Can Carvin play center? Just wondering.. I though BK had a good game once he got his sea legs under him.

Well, so much for the belief that wearing black cleats will help the injury problem.

In a kid his age they may try to repair it. That's 8 weeks to just walk on it. Anyone say if he can get a med red?

I think he already used a redshirt at Bama. However, a few guys have applied for another on a hardship year. So maybe?

Not all meniscus tears require surgery. 8 weeks after surgery is the max time.
An ACL means he likely misses all spring.
Med redshirt is not an issue at this point as he has two years eligibility remaining.

Two notable cases for UT...Jerry Colquitt and Marcus Jackson. Not good odds and by not good I mean bleak to nonexistent.
