We tend to struggle on the road for what it is worth but I think Tennessee could beat Ohio State (or Penn State).

Issue will be traveling to Oregon. I don't think Tennessee can win that one.
Good thing we won’t have to travel to Oregon

I don’t think I’d say we have the edge at QB, although Howard isn’t great. OSU has 2 great backs as opposed to our one. I’d say across the board they are better offensively.
Considering only the last 3 games of the season, Nico had a higher QBR than Warren who was below average. I like Nico's end of the year trajectory. OSU doesn't have 2 great backs. They have 2 good ones and we have a great back in Sampson. Our team rushing stats for the year showed we gained about 750 more yards on the ground than OSU. Our total offensive yardage for the year was also considerably higher than theirs. Across the board, there's no evidence that they're better than us.

There are 3 or 4 scenarios that can play out depending upon Saturday results.

If we end up not hosting, we will lose simply because we are undisciplined
and don’t play smart enough in pressure road games.

Hopefully we end up hosting after an upset or two Saturday.

They’ve been much more consistent this season offensively and also much better in terms of penalties. We ran up some numbers kicking onside kicks against Kent State but really struggled offensively in conference play.

I could literally hear David biting his lip when hearing kind words for Tenn
David was trying not to smile as he knew the CFP Committee is doing all they can to screw the Vols with seeding.

Then you should simply not bother yourself to watch if we play a first round road game. You know, since you're certain we will lose 😉

Really? You'd think they would have scored more than 10 points versus a very average Michigan team...........at home.
Also played pretty meh against Nebraska and Penn State. Their offense is hot and cold.

It’s their defense I’m worried about. They have studs all over on that side of the ball.

It’s an away game in one of the better college environments. We will lose until this coach and team prove me otherwise. SUPER negavol, I know. They have done nothing to install confidence in fans on the road.

What's the problem with being a dark horse??? We should see it as an expression of respect. Just ask Bucephalus, Tornado, Ruffian, Band lack Hawk Morgan.

I'm praying for a repeat of the 1996 Citrus Bowl. Great game. OSU's Hypeman winner Eddy George was out-rushed by UT's Jay Graham. 20-14 victory.

Historically Columbus is about 9-10 degrees colder than Knoxville in mid December.

Dec 21......

Average high 40
Average low 26

Nobody plays college football in December though so it's not an advantage for them.
