Tennessee Tech Making Bank

Well you ran off. I was just curious what a traditional I-AA powerhouse putting up some points on you has to do with you throttling Georgia State in their first season ever.

maybe he thinks GA St and GA Southern are the same team?

I've seen Ga St play and would actually be upset if they scored at all

They did have a winning season in their first season. I don't care who you play, that's f'n impressive.

But to start a program from scratch, even at a big school, and win 7 games in your first year ever... That doesn't impress you? Of course they were pretty bad. They had never played football before. They were all walk ons and JUCOs.

I don't know their schedule, but at least one game was Bama, so that's an automatic loss.

I am guessing that UT will pay about 400k to Georgia State to play this year and that will cover their football expenses for 2 years.

I think Tenn Tech going to play Oregon is pretty great, I'm a student here at Tech and it's nice to see our school playing big time teams even if we get our butts handed to us. I for one think that Tennessee should play Tennessee Tech instead of getting out of state team's to come in

the net is the more important number in this process. Depending on the contract, that could be a breakeven or worse proposition for TTU.

How much chaos would ensue if Tennessee Tech pulled off the upset?

Meltdown, much like um losing to Appy State. It was the beginning of the end for LLLoyd Carr and has taken um to same rather severe lows. Carr gone, hire RichRod, hahah. a series of blunders, set fire by losing to Appy State.

Greatest moment in sports.

Im not sure which would be the better recruiting tool for Tech. Both would be good

Going to play at Neyland once a year -v- Going to some of the other bigtime programs once a year.

I dont know the answer to that one, but I would like to see them at UT once a year also.

Boom. Oregon never counted on Da'Rick. Upset.

Problem is Tennessee Tech better not count on Da'Rick. Dude seems to keep messing up. Most of those kids never figure it out and will burn those giving them a second oppurtunity.

eh Da'Rick just screwed up so he could play Oregon twice. Once this year, then Xfer back for next year :)

Maybe it's so they can pay for the SEC caliber weight room they had built

first, an LOL at OP for thinking this goes triple digits. When was the last time a D-1 team put up three digits on a D-1AA. The media would destroy them, and rightfully so.

Next, Appy State was one of the best 1-AA schools in the nation that year - and probably better than at least a dozen other 1A schools.

TTU is much improved, but we're nowhere near that level. If we can put up 20, that's a dam good showing.

Getting paid $500,000 to get handled by Oregon this year. That's the farthest thing I've ever seen from a fair game. This one could go into the triple digits, ladies and gentlemen.
damn that must be cuz they travel really far to get whooped lol i dont know what the average pay day is for these warm up games tho

I heard from a reliable TTU source today that the buyout for the Oregon game is indeed close to $500k.
