Tomorrow shows 10-15% chance of rain from noon on. It appears if we were truly trying to dodge somebody, then we just wouldn’t agree to reschedule. I don’t think CTV is the type to try and get out of games.

That’s just my opinion though. I know others will view any decision surrounding the baseball program negatively.

The question I have is did it rain during the game Sunday?

If not then the tarp should have been put on without question. If it was already wet from rain then I understand it not being put on

For anyone to think that CTV or our players don’t want to play them or are avoiding them for any reason is comical to me. You don’t think our boys want to put a stop to that win streak? Ridiculous.

Midweeks are sometimes hard to predict, and they could very well beat us. Who knows. They also led the country in homeruns last year and we were the only team to shut them out all season by a score of 6-0.

We all have opinions and that’s fine. No problem. But I’m not buying any of it. As an SEC team...If we are “scared” to play them then we have bigger problems.

It's for sure not that the players have anything to do with it. The entire tarp thing is an issue.

Like I said it's simple. If the field was dry when Sunday was over the tarp should have been put on. Call it what you want but if that happened it's not prioritizing the importance of playing the game.

If the field was wet after the game Sunday the tarp being left off makes sense and there is nothing to see here

I know it rained mid-game because they mentioned it then.

This one and next week against Vandy are going to be HUGE for Tech. Now this is just my opinion but if they win both and put together a decent finish they may very well be in a host spot for regionals.

Bumping this because there literally is nowhere else for me to talk about it. I saw Tech beat Vandy last night 6-4 at Vandy and it really wasn't that close. Vandy squandered 2 in the last inning off a ball that got lost in the lights and a poorly played ball by the SS for an infield single. This was more like a 6-2 ball game with Tech smothering them from the start.

Tech now is 41-6 with going 4-0 against Power 5 opponents this season. They could very well likely win out. My prediction is they go 5-2 to close out the season and win the OVC tourney putting them at 49-8 With that does anyone see them as at least a 2 seed?

2 seed at the best but I think they might have a big wrapped up even if they lose the tounrey

That's kind of what I have been thinking. I am not too sure how much RPI plays into effect in evaluating baseball but if it's anything like basketball I wouldn't see a case where you would leave a team with a top 25 RPI out.

Look up 5-8 years ago when Campbell was left out. That will give you a good starting point. Very similar records anyway. I just don't recall other specifics

Tech has to be in! (God, I hate to say that)! They have some real quality wins, but nothing like The Peay beating #5 Clemson yesterday.

🚨 STOLEN BID ALERT 🚨 — @MSUEaglesBsball wins the @OVCSports automatic bid with a win over @TNTech_Baseball. TTU will still make the field, so we’ll have at least one stolen bid. Two more chances left.

I'll tell yawl one thing that stands out to me, watching all these SEC teams and even those CUSA games yesterday...all these pitching staffs are loaded with guys that can throw low to mid 90's. We gotta get there.

Yeah, no slight intended whatsoever, I absolutely love Neely, but the fact he was our most reliable starter is telling.
