I would be willing to bet that the fans are way more worked up over the Heisman thing than these two.

At the end of the day, both are HOF material. It's not like Woodson has been chopped liver in the NFL and we all know Manning is a lock.

Just got finished watching 1997 TN at Arkansas, Jamal Lewis, Marcus Nash, Leonard Little, Shawn Bryson, Raynoch Thompson, Stearns Fumblelisious. Love him. Manning as a receiver for a 1000 yards. Cutcliffe was good. And Jamal was a beast (120 yds as a freshman) Lot of fun. Fulmer was a beast. TN 30 AK 22.

Think about the talent gap and TN only won by 8....maybe there is hope for an upset this year.

I was 4 when this game happened.... stunned at how we didn't win a national title.. we were loaded allll over the field.

It's called Florida and Nebraska. As good as UT was they absolutely got owned by UF from 93-97.

Even with losing to UF in '97, UT had an outside shot at the NC had they beaten Nebraska and Wash. St. beaten Michigan. Neither happened and Michigan & Nebraska shared the NC.

We were loaded all through the 90s. Best talent in SEC. Makes you wonder why we didn't play for more national championships
