Let's chalk AF up to one of a long line of close call games. They were tough and determined and embodied (tonight at least) everything that is special in college sports. But...here come the Gators...TALK IT UP VOLS FANS!

law, I guess we'll see your face around here plenty this week, and hats off...it was an impressive win for you guys tonight, BUT...check your firearms at the door...place your bets....LADIES AND GENTLEMEN...it's gator-thumpin time in TENNESSEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:w00t:

Well, you aren't going to see me predicting a Florida victory. I know better than that. But, I do feel a LOT better about our chances after tonight. You guys probably took a step backwards, from what I gather here and in tv reports, but I'm sure things will calm down in a day or so and you'll refocus.

Tell you what, though, FSU and for that matter the ACC look like they have issues, huh?

If Air Force ran a traditional offense, the game would have been worse than yours.

good for them...doesn't hurt my little ole' feelins any, LOL! Yeah, apart from the irresistable fun of it, you won't catch me guaranteeing victory for UT either...I tell you what...it's gotten to be one of those rivalries where only a fool predicts a winner...I'll say it once and no more 'til after the game...Tennessee will likely enter the game pissed off but highly focused and take you pesky reptiles to the swampy woodshed!

Most definitely. I don't know what it is the past few years, but we seem to go into this game with absolutely no idea what either team truly has other than potential.

Clever. Too bad she can't suit up for your defense. You may need her help next weekend.

That was our problem tonight, we kept overunning everything and getting faked out of our shorts. We could have lined up that unathletic old lady at D-tackle and probably had more success. :p

Well, unfortunately for us that means your guys will have a chance to mend their ways. The Florida offense is built to capitalize on over-pursuit. Would have been better for us probably if the Vols had done it, won big, and not seen the error of their ways.

I know a few arrogant Gators, but you're a good one, LG, and it's easier to wish you luck than it will be to them. :)

Last week I'd have said defense for sure. But offense looked a lot better. Still would give the nod to the defense, though. They have more experience and, in Neyland, will probably respond better than the offense will. The inexperience at O-line is still a concern for me in that kind of loud and hostile environment.

You, too. For all the smack talk sure to take place in the next 6 days, you and I don't play the game so what we think doesn't really matter much next Saturday. Still, its fun, eh?

Can I just say again how much FSU sucks? I can't say that enough.

One thing that I can promise you HURTS Florida's chances is that our run D got carved up, AND we had a close game with a lesser opponent. Why?

A) Defense will be pissed they played so "poorly."

B) Team was humbled. They will be 100% focused, 100%!

Quick question about the defense for those that saw the game. Ho was the tackling tonight? I mean, once they got to the actual ball carrier, did they drop them quickly? Missed some? Thanks for the info.

Tackling was hot and cold, IMO. Some missed tackles in crucial spots, some niiiice tackling at or behind the line of scrimmage. Any time an AF back would get any kind of momentum going forward, we had some problems. Still had some nice nice hits.

well by the way defense and offense on both teams are going. It will be an old shoot out like it was in the ninties and its about time
