Tennessee vs. Indianapolis Exhibition Game Thread 11/8 7:30 PM

That was the most pitiful performance I have ever seen as a Vol basketball fan. They deserve anything people are saying about them. A joke. If you shoot 30 3 pointers and have 20+ turnovers to a Div 2 school, you played lazy and didn't care. Plain and simple. Awful, awful game. Learn to shoot some FTs Tennessee.

And guess EXACTLY how much this loss counts in the standings this year, or anything else?

You obviously haven't been watching for the last fifty years or so. This was a wake up call and the team will respond with better defense and pay attention to the importance of free throws. Games are won and lost at the free throw line. Better defense is a must. It will happen, trust me.

Wow... at least it was just a tuneup game; they should have an idea now of what needs tuning. And hopefully someone will step up and take leadership of this team.

On another note, 52% from the stripe? Ugh.

Nothing to worry about, its a exhibition game, we will be fine

You tell yourself that. Some teams just have a bad game. This team is inexperienced and they have a circus going on around them. This could very well be our team this year. And, seriously, we ****ing lost to Indianapolis? What a joke.

Yeah. It really got through to the 2007-2008 Memphis Tigers that poor free throw shooting would eventually cost them. Not every team learns or even has the ability to improve in certain facets of the game. Maybe this Vol team can do it. I'm thinking we'll have a few growing pains though.

Good thing it was just an exhibition. In the end it won't count for anything but....dang this was still rather pathetic.

If u didn't already know.. There is some pretty good ball being played I'm D2. Southern indiana, Kentucky Wesleyan, u Indy, there are some in cali that always play d 1 teams tough. Bruces old team southern indiana gave #13 illini everything they could handle, losing by like 9. Last year they had siu Carbondale beat till siu hit a shot within the final couple sec. These d2 teams play their exhibition games with everything they haw, where the d1 teams hold abt 70% of their playbook back. What I'm trying to say is I'm shocked more D2 teams don't beat up on d 1 teams as much as they should. Tennessee did play bad without two of their horses at 100 pct but give credit where credit is due- uindy and their good coach gouard. He was a great player, really excited for him.

Ps the university of Evansville (d1) got beaten by d3 depauw at home. It could always be worse...

Guys...it's terrible, but it's preseason. UK nearly lost a few games last year to terrible teams and we all know the talent they had. Not saying we're as good as that UK team, but we still have to gel as a team. Remember, these guys haven't played together much.

It's disgusting, terrible, and awful, but we still have time.

They lost to South Carolina, Tennessee, and West Virginia. WVU was a final 4 team, so you are either calling USC or UT terrible.. lol
