Tennessee vs Iowa by position

That's the kind of game I hoped for. I wasn't going to call it though. I was actually worried the first couple of series. Nico is a leader and has the moxy baby! I'm so stoked for the upcoming season, and it feels like 25 has the potential to be special.

Iowa played only two opponents all year that had eight or more regular season wins:
Michigan and Penn State. In those two games, the Hawkeyes were outscored 57-0

R.fb613b8b6fa6ffa426d7d13e8d083824

And now they "mighty" Hawkeyes have been outscored 92-0, against teams with 8+ wins. Go Vols!

If you just compare talent and experience by position group here is how I see it:

QB- Deacon Hill has more experience but played poorly on the whole. Nico more talent but very little experience. PUSH
Don't expect this clown back but feels good to put a bow on this one.

Nico>>>>>>>anyone Iowa could have played including the Michigan transfer.
RB- Iowa has 3 experienced backs and UT is down their top 2. IOWA
Vols 232, Iowa 113. Sampson dominated like I said. Their top rusher was the back up QB with 51 yds. Without him, UT would have held them under 100 in both rushing and passing.
WR- Besides former top 100 recruit Kaleb Brown, the hawks lack here obviously. Even in a down year for your standards you guys have a big advantage here. UT
UT needs help at WR. If Bru comes back with the additions... it should be better next fall. Iowa's WRs suck including Brown.
TE- Even with two NFL players out due to injury this isn’t close. IOWA
LOL. It wasn't "close". Their TEs were a non-factor. Warren and Castles were significantly better.
OL- Iowa has been very inconsistent up front but has had games where they dominate on the ground. UT is beat up and down a lot of guys. PUSH
I expected UT to have more guys available. But even with only 2 starters... the Vols were better vs Iowa's D than Iowa's OL was vs UT's.
DL- UT lost Baron, but has had a better pass rush than the Hawks this year. Iowa is deeper and better against the run. Without Baron it’s IOWA.
LOL. The guys playing behind Baron... were as productive or more so than he has been. UT gashed them in the run game with their back up OL. Sacks were ugly both ways...except that was Iowa's first team OL.
LB- two all Americans and a 2nd team all B1G player for the hawks IOWA.
Made a bunch of tackles which looks nice in the box score... except they were making a lot of them in the 2nd and 3rd level
DB- Lol. IOWA
LOL... indeed. UT's young secondary held up well. The commentators kept questioning why Iowa didn't go after UT's young DBs. The fact that they didn't... and couldn't... suggests that they did a pretty good job.
Special teams- 2023 All American punter and 2022 all American kicker IOWA
Iowa has a great punter... or it would have been A LOT worse. Kicker got one kick all day... LOL
I don’t think UT is better anywhere besides receiver.
UT was better everywhere... except punter.

Iowa’s punter probably has a sore foot after that game.

Apparently the OP was a loudmouth who doesn’t have the cojones to eat their crow.

Wow, how do you explain 35-0? Going into the game, I’d had Tennessee with edge in all areas on offense (how could you think different) & push on DL.

I saw the “illegal fair catch” and it was a good call. Kid was running waving his arm out in front of him. Who runs like that?
