I may be forced to go to bed early because I have to get up about 3 so I don't know if you would be interested to host the live thread. I'll try to watch or listen some of the game.

it's a message board so no one "hosts" the threads. Not sure you're getting this whole thing

Well what will the "Big Orange" pull out of the bag of tricks tonight to get the fans into the game?
You can count on something every year during the Kentucky game....retire Ernie or Bernies' number....retire John Ward mic.....recognize some successful UT former athlete.
I say they honor Alan Houston tonight or will it be Don Devoe...it is like clock work when Kentucky comes to Knoxville.
Dont get me wrong I am a season ticket holder but the drama that the university pulls for the Kentucky game is a bit predictable.

That's optional but the 'vs.' format always looks the best imo but the 'at' obviously clears up whether the game is home or away.

Mine would typically go (now that we have a basketball forum) - "The Official Kentucky Wildcats vs. The Tennessee Volunteers game thread".

There you go - now you know how to make a game thread - also - try not to make the game thread until the actual day of the game. You could make discussion threads in the days leading up to the game if you want to prevent clutter in the game thread.

Follow these rules and you'll soon be a game thread making super star - but then you'll quickly retire from it after about 5-10 game threads. This should be stickied.

Edit: this post is meant to be taken lightly :p - but seriously, that's how you should name your game threads.

But there is likely to be a mod throughout to watch for language.

Why should the person who setup the thread not show up for the live event? Sounds like plant there, don't water it. The party host plans the party but won't be at the party.

I may plan the thread but I don't want to be the one to look like an idiot and ask,'What happened?", after the game was over.

Their inside game will be better than UTs. Tennessee needs to hit on the perimeter and needs to dominate the offensive glass.

This will be a tough game. Depends on what UT team shows up.

I would like to see Maze step up and show more leadership and take a game over if he has to. I would also like to see WAY less of Hopson. He is completely overrated at this point.

The blue flags are flying and the big blue kool aid is flowing here in the land of the wildcats. My UK friends are predicting a UK win by 10 or more.

the question is.
who will step up? We know Tyler is going to go all out, Chism is a maybe, will Maze play like he is capable, which hopson and woolridge will show up? what will jp have more of fouls or stupid 3 pt shots.

how many shots will we miss in lane.

I planned on taking a nap after work before I head into Knoxville, but I'm too excited. I also can't stop reading the "Breakdown thread".
