My father called tonight (86 years old)(won't leave North Dakota), say's it's getting chilly again, 45 tonight. IOW, looks to be a balmy 60 degrees Saturday night in Norman. Perfect football weather. Oh, he also said "Go Vols".

This game is all in the trenches.

If the Oline can hold off a 4 man rush and force Oklahoma to rush 5 on passing downs, we have a chance to compete. The defensive backs will be in press coverage and Oklahoma will blitz all day long.

The ability for Worley to have time to pass and our WR to get off the line cleanly is crucial because we won't be able to run the ball at all.

Defensively, it's the same. Oklahoma is huge on the OL and will run downhill at us. If UT can stop the run, then I like our chances in the secondary.

Take UT and the 21 points. My prediction

Ok 33 UT 20

UT O-line vs OK D-line is the whole game in a nutshell.

I think op forgot a crucial element to the game on Saturday. I think the biggest chance that tennessee has of winning is by wrecking the Oklahoma sooner wagon. Hence forth we shall be the tennessee volunteers aka the "wagon wreckers".

For the record, Catbone is no less of a Vol fan than anyone else on this board.

(missed the sarcastic blue)

Catbone is a reality check for a lot of us sometimes. Other times, I think he's just tossing gasoline on the bonfire with a grin on his face.

TN needs to keep OU defense off balance and guessing. No repetitive plays in same series.
Keep OU spread thin to edges, use quick passes and SPEED, SPEED SPEED. Get Hurd in space and keep things unpredictable on offense.
Worley must stay mobile. No standing in the pocket hoping offensive line holds. Get outside the hashes to throw away without grounding or dump to RB's, TE.

You will see a lot of TE on the back side, to help with the pass rush. Either chip and move for a pass, or stay to block.
