Personally didn't think the ref'ing was an issue. Always a couple of calls either way to challenge. Was concerned Aidoo was called on that ball going out of bounds, but instead no. On the other hand, they missed an obvious Cock walk in front of our bench.
We just missed way too many under the basket early and they out rebounded us

Our switching on D has resulted in ZZ on their big causing our D to have to scramble which is leading to open shots for SC. Coupled with our inability to score 6 inches from the rim and we are lucky to be behind only by 4. Expect second half adjustments to help and better pray our shooting improves or this may not end well. SC will not go away.

I absolutely hate all the switching and our guards hanging out in the paint leaving shooters wide open around the parameter

And then give them those last 2 points on Awaka that was a 1/10th of that contact. Other than that not too bad. Of course that could be a 6 point swing.

I guess we’re improving. Down 5 at half to Vandy but only down 4 at half to South Carolina. All jokes aside, feels like we are prone to some truly bad first half performances. It bit us on the rear end against MSU, but we figured it out against Vandy.

I honestly hate that we had a week off. This team hasn’t looked the same since we skipped our midweek game. We were a machine before that time away and now we’ve had back to back performances of lackluster basketball to open games.

It’s not how you start it’s how you finish luckily. Just hope we find a way to make some offense.

Yep. It’s been a physical game. They’ve let both teams play for the most part. If we make our layups, we have the lead. The refs were hideous in the first half at Vandy, but can’t blame this one on the refs. They’ve done their jobs okay so far. Vols haven’t done theirs.

IDK - you hear TBA/FC is a tough place to play, and the records bear it out. Yet people sitting on their couch gripe about the crowd. Strange.

I don’t know if I would say they are helping us. USC Jr. is also a physical team and has gotten away with some stuff. I would say the refs have been a neutral factor in the game. Wouldn’t say they are helping though.
