Tennessee with another quality Quad 1 win

Based on how those other teams finish, theoretically we could reasonably end up .500 in Q1 games without a loss in any lesser quadrant. If that’s the case seems like easily a 3 seed. No worse than 4.

Mostly agreed. I could see us slipping to a 5 spot if we lose to UK, Auburn and Texas....especially if we drop another in conference game to Arky or UF.

I agree 100%. Let’s think back to when we had Grant and Admiral. I can’t recall if it was Purdue, or Loyola but we were knocked out of the tourney. Auburn took us behind the woodshed, too, in the SEC title game. I recall all of us, including me, saying we should go small ball as we needed athletes with speed and shooters.

We still lack the pure shooters with Vescovi being our go to. However, we lack the athleticism vs. the KY and Auburn rosters.

I agree we need another post player, esp one with athleticism who can at least move around and create a shot/post move similar to Grant.
I think that's what I was trying to get to...w/ Grant and Admiral, teams expected a dog fight, and some teams, like LSU yesterday, get more caught up in pushing and shoving and get out of their game. When we're mixing it up down low, it gives the other team something else to worry about and opens things up for Chandler, ZZ, Vescovi, etc.

IF, big IF...we play rest of season like yesterday, I think we'll finish in top 3-4 teams. We COULD have finally started to find our team identity...would rather us find it late than peak early. Hope we continue.

That'd be nice and all but Auburn will light up TN from 3. It may be another Kentucky-esque game.

Pearl has Barnes number

We have Kentucky's number the last several years and get a rematch at home. The Auburn game will be at home too. I'd love to see a win against Auburn. It's due season.
(We're undefeated at home this season.)

Our games against Kentucky, Auburn, Mississippi State, and Texas are all quad 1 so would be more quad 1 wins.

North Carolina has been updated to a Quad 1 win so that is 3 quad 1 wins so far this season.
(UNC with the other two quadrant 1 wins Arizona and LSU.)
This bumps us up from 2-5 where we were to where we are now so far at 3-5 Q1.
