Tennessee's 2010 recruiting class(basketball)

We'll see. I am not counting Pearl out. We've seen him land Scotty Hopson, Ramar Smith, Duke Crews, Josh Selby.... I'll let Pearl do his thing and hope for the best.

What about this guy then?
David Nyarsuk - Basketball Recruiting

He is 138 and ranked a 3* but he seems to fit Pearls style more than the fatty looking Josh Smith. He is a 7ft 220lb center. According to rivals his only choices are Tennessee and Ohio St. He'll probably go to Ohio St. though sense he looks like he is 80 years old kind of like Gregg Oden. He has a weird last name, he probably is 80. Look at him

You need to stop basing opinion on looking at Rivals basketball profiles.. you get no info from doing that.

Josh Smith likes his home-state Washington and the blue-bloods of CBB. We don't have any shot at him and Pearl isn't even heavily recruiting him at this point, because it would be a waste of time.

How do you know Pearl isn't heavily recruiting him? Is he busy recruiting more players that think they are too good to play defense? He better be recruiting somebody who is willing to bang down low or he is going to continue bringing in top recruits that under achieve. Wayne Chism... wtf. He plays outside the arch 75% of the time when he should play inside the paint. Brian Williams is the only player on the team willing to get dirty. Instead we watch Chism dance around and brick three's with the game on the line. Bruce Pearl should heavily recruit him considering PJ is about to walk. You say it's a waste of time recruiting Josh Smith but recruiting PJ was a bigger waste of time considering he'll never play apparently.

I'm not going to dissect the rant, I'm just trying to fill you in on Smith.

The guy isn't coming here, 0% chance, I don't know what else I can say.

Really? A paragraph is a rant? You could just say your opinion is right and mine is wrong. That seems to be the message you've sent. I don't know where you're getting your info from but you're right even without links to back what you're saying. If he was set on Washington, he would've already committed.

Poor Josh Tabb. So many posters forgot about him when naming soon-to-be-open scholarships. He is a senior in 2009-10.

Josh Smith isn't coming here. He hasn't mentioned us in any article in the past year. I love your confidence in Pearl and I have it to but there are just kids who want to go to specific schools their whole lives. Pearl is focusing more on other guys on that list than Smith. I would love to have him but we're not. FYI I would love to eat my words though.

no... that isn't how it went down.

but you were obviously there and your consistent beef with Pearl obviously doesn't affect your embellishment of the circumstances.

So you were there then? Maybe you can fill us in on the errors in the previous statement.

I know i have lied on here before but there is a kid that goes to my school Micah Ballard said Jelan Kendrick was at a basketball thing somewhere in south carolina he said he talked to him and Kendrick had only good things to say about UT. Micah said he thinks he may have some interest in UT but TIFWIW

Jelan Kendrick is at the only position we have recruited well. I think Wheeler coaching is pushing him to Clemson.

We need Pinkston and Harris and I think that CBP locks them down pretty soon. Then we can only use the 4 and save an extra for a great class next year.

I don't think we can get Pinkston and Harris. And I think it's a big IF that we get either. I know the interest they've shown, but Pearl is going to have to beat out some of the top recruiters in the country to get those two....
