Our AG is not sure if he wants to join 10 other states and file a lawsuit against Barry's socialized healthcare. Let him know that we want him to join this fight.

VA is challenging it based on a law passed 2 weeks ago

The Virginia law says that no resident of the state can be compelled by the federal law to have health insurance, nor can any Virginian be forced to pay a fine or penalty for refusing health coverage.

Doomed to fail. Just another Republican-backed hairbrained scheme that will cost us taxpayers tons of money.

What happened to concerns over deficits?

government isnt like sex with kobe, we just dont have to lay there and accept that it is going to happen, and if we do, then we get a little R Kelly action as well when the fed pisses all over the people

When in the hell did you become concerned with deficits?

This maybe the last reasonable and peaceful effort to stop the takeover of our healthcare system.

yeah because one lawsuit that will cost $50 million is really not worth it to save trillions over my lifetime.

You might remove the Sequoia from the other eye. A whiny liberal arguing in one thread that someone's environment warrants for them guv'ment cheese griping that a lawsuit might be expensive? Do you have any idea what our welfare state costs us? You know, the one that just massively expanded?

Let me know when the tab for the lawsuit costs even one tenth of all the handouts within the deal and backroom deals without that this abortion took to get passed.

I'd have a different opinion if it weren't just a political stunt. The lead guy on this is Florida's own Bill McCollum, roundly viewed here in Florida as a complete hack. Was hoisted up by the Republicans to be their face on the Lewinsky thing, which ultimately cost him any career he might have had in Congress when the country just got bored with it.

Tell me, how many of the AGs signing up for this are Republican? And how many Republicans who think thye might ever have a future are not just jumping off, but are actively running away from, this bandwagon of malcontents?

The Republicans have a golden opportunity here to just repeat the mantra that this is socialism, and to nationalize (not in the way you think) all of the upcoming Congressional elections on that basis.

As usual, though, in an effort to beat each other to the head of the line and to get their names out front and center, they are going to way overdo it and end up looking like whiny little five year olds fighintg over the best piece of birthday cake.

if you think making this a national issue for the next election isn't going to work for the republicans than you are in for a big wakeup call.

You wouldn't have any opinion if you didn't know, for sure, that they have a point.

No American is going to be legally taxed on something they don't buy. It will be canned. The remainder will stay until repealed, but that piece will go away.

I loved listening to the pundits last night saying there is nothing in the Constitution that says the government can make you buy something. I LOL'd.

Everyone knows that the economy stinks, but its not the current plan that is causing that. It stunk before, for a lot of reasons, most of which the country still lays at the feet of the GOP and Bush.

I guiess in that respect I don't blame the GOP for trying to make the election about something else.

I believe thirteen states have filed suit so far and the governor of Mississippi says if his AG doesn't then he will file suit himself.

Well, I'm not one to interject lawyers into ANYTHING. But, in this case I'm for it. Not because I think it's not a stunt, but maybe, just maybe the bill will be further exposed and maybe everyone, including those who voted for it, will know what is actually in the damn thing.

Yes, and now the healthcare industry is owned by the government. GOP didn't buy that one.

Obama is implementing the same sorts of policies as FDR which took us from a recession into a major depression and probably like then, the only way out will be a major war.

Phil Bredesen is the Governor of Tennessee and he is a Democrat. He said himself that this bill will bankrupt the state
