Tennessee's Finest

Because there are players like that everywhere. We have at least 2 committed with a few others that could commit in his mold.

he puts up numbers against some very weak comp in Div II in Nashville and his ego tends to get where he's going before he does. If ND offers they'll have to expand the stadium to fit his and clausen's heads in there at the same time

He has produced out of Division II. He has played against top notch programs such as Goodpasture and Montgomery Bell Academy. EGO?1?!?!?! Do you know him? I go to school with him and his ego is no worse than any other high school star.

MBA isn't down, they are downright horrible. Putting up stats against him is the equivalent of putting up stats against Red Boiling Springs. Goodpasture is pretty good, but not too great.

I could rush for 100 against BGA and 200 against Briarcrest, so Tate doesnt really impress me. I hope he goes to Vandy and gets a good education because nobody's going to be paying him to play in the NFL

Actually he only got to carry the ball 6 times against BGA and we didnt play Briarcrest.

Well seeing that his dad made it to the NFL out of Tennessee St. I think Golden can make it there out of the likes of ND. Also, MBA is only down because they are on their 3rd string QB, 2nd string RB, and missing a WR. Their defense is exceptionally strong.

BS, BGA's defense isn't strong. They gave up 31 points to Christain Brothers, 42 to Brentwood Academy, 34 to McCallie, and 32 to Baylor but held PJP to 17(which is 4.5 points fewer than MBA's average points allowed).

Why do you keep saying ND? They haven't even offered(though probably will now that Benn has dropped them).

I sayed the likes of ND, and Golden just took his ACT test so they could offer when the scores come in. Even if he doesnt go to ND, it will be somewhere better than Tennessee St. where his dad went.

Ol Golden Tate was featured in this week's Sports Illustrated in the 'Faces in the Crowd' section.

Why not? I have it on good authority from a spikey haired limo kid they are going to win 4 NC's. :)
I've heard some Tate boosters say that there are other (I guess secret) factors at work here, but considering Tate's rankings based on football ability I am very surprised that he does not have more offers on the table from elite programs. There's something fishy about it IMO. Then I look at his list of offers from schools he expresses interest in and Bama just jumps out as the program where he could get the most exposure.

and another thing about Tate...if you read the ND boards there are two schools of thought about Tate: (1) They will only offer him if A. Benn declines them; or (2) They are waiting on a test score (SAT/ACT?).

Also, pertaining to Donald and Smith, the Irish fansand coaches have been alluding to a lot of silent commitments for a couple of months now and if you look at their commit list this year compared to the same time last year (and consider that they are having about the same measure of success) you have to think that either: (1) Weiss and co. have completely lost the recruiting touch; or (2) They probably do have some guys in their back pocket.
