Not sure if this is what he is referring to or it has been approved, but I know there was discussion about granting some scholarship relief to teams who had excessive players transfer through the portal.

According to Coach Doug Mathews, the extra schollies won't be approved until after Dec 20. CJH has a dilemma because he doesn't know if he gets extra schollies, if he loses schollies or whatever. NCAA needs to extract their collective digits.

What extra seven positions?

They (NCAA) are supposed to be working on a rule to grant up to seven additional scholarships in the recruiting period for teams who lost a certain number of transfers. When that rule takes effect, we should be eligible for additional 7 signees, making a total of 32 instead of 25 in the next class.

I'm saying those seven bonus spots should be used to bring in as many offensive & defensive lineman as possible, especially in the juco market.

Well that makes perfect sense that the NCAA could conceivably allow for extra scholarships and TN would be the program that couldn't take advantage of it.

Wow! Look at all the tight ends and receivers at the bottom of the list of offensive performances!

But a nice story to see #30, walk-on Marcus Pierce, Jr. grading out high.

I distinctly remember being hammered with people saying I was wring for saying will was bad.
Well, in retrospect, maybe it wasn't Will. His Aubie line looked pretty good against a good Penn State D. I'm starting to think it's the nightlife on Cumberland or maybe Old Town that's the problem. UT got some 5 star partying.

We lost 30+ players to transfer so we don't have depth. The drop off is going from scholarship players to walk on. As far as the running backs they have to break takles and make guys miss in the second and third level. They didn't do that against Tennessee tech which is a major concern. Florida is going to expose all of our weaknesses. The qb situation is a head scratcher I don't understand how we can't find a good qb
It looks like 5 of our 22 starters were not originally signed by our coaching staffs. We have lost a bunch, but have also gained a few good players. Some of the players we lost are doing well, but a lot of them are not starting and many have not found a place to play.

Mohan stood out to me. He made a couple of plays and I looked up who he was. Seemed faster and more explosive than some others.

Not gonna entirely blame it on the O-line. QB's are not getting sacked as often and RB's aren't getting throttle in the backfield every other play. Could just be our backs have no vision and run like garbage
