Tent ??

Honestly they don't really need it to inflate in the same way that Bama does so the patent wouldn't prevent anyone from implementing a privacy tent on the sideline. Also I would bet that whoever patented it would be happy to sell it to more than one team.

Patent a tent? OK, it probably has some clever pop up and snap lock features. But a tent? Why would you want to pay Bama royalties just to throw a tent up on the sidelines? I work in the mechanical engineering world, got my education from UT, and think - hey we could build one of those.

Or, we could batch about it enough to call unfair and get the NCAA to rule that you can't have one unless both teams have one, which I'm sure is coming.

For those legal beagles amongst us, here is a patent question. If I build something that violates a patent, I'm probably OK as long as I don't try and sell it, right? Why not just get the boys over there in Dougherty hall to snap something similar up and get an A on their senior project and don't give Bama any royalties!

I still have a problem with "Gator"aid.

Has anyone else noticed bamer's tent hospital on the sideline. They run there players into the tent so they don't have to walk to the locker room. I'm wondering if this breaks any rules or is just thinking outside the box.

I'm normally not "that guy" but you can't post Alabama stuff in the Tennessee football forum. That's high treason.

Complete and utter bull****. Bammers didn't come up with this. We've been using the same type of pop-up tent for ice-fishing since the late 70's. Clam, ClamShell, etc. Even one better designed by Boeing Aerospace which is a true pop-up - one push and you are inside a 10 x 10 x 7 dome with ice flaps on the bottom to pile snow and ice on to keep it anchored.

UT can build a bigger and better tent. We can't afford to fall behind Bama and the rest of the SEC in sideline tent construction.

I remember a visitor to Neyland had one when their sideline was on the west side of the field. Might have been California in 2006. I just figured it was the little boy's room. Maybe Bammer's is a two seater.
