Terrell Holloway

Cincinnati offered, South Florida, St. John's, Tennessee and Oregon State.
He's just really starting to emerge at this point. All those offers came out once, just recently, while he was in Cincinnati.

I don't know. He hasn't specified who his leaders are yet. Nevada and Oregon State have just offered.

Quote from Rivals:
As coaches look coast to coast for point guards, Terrell Holloway will be looked at closely. The New York native continues his strong play. He's a pass first, speedy guard that has shown an ability to run a high-level team without many problems. Don't be surprised to see him emerge as a hot target come official visit time.

pass first....hmmmmmm....usually that means he doesnt have a jumper

And exactly why would we need a PG that is shoot first when we could have Williams, Singleton, Tatum, and many other shooters?

I didnt say we needed a guy that was shoot first....what I meant was that usually when a pg is described as "pass first" it's kind of a polite way of saying he cant shoot.

From what I've read, he is a great passer and can penetrate to either side. Ramar isn't exactly a lights out shooter either at the point.

Alright guys, you have been clamoring for a commitment. Well, this may be the guy. CBP really wants a PG and it looks like Fortson may be out because of grades. That leaves Cashmere Wright and Holloway. This was an update on Holloway today(per Rivals):

"I'm leaning towards Tennessee right now. I sent them my transcript and everything," Holloway said. "I've talked to Bruce Pearl and I'm waiting for him to finish talking to admissions and everything. Once you commit to a school you still have to be accepted to a school, so I'm just waiting for that. Possibly, I could be committing to Tennessee very soon. There are a lot of other schools I'm still considering, but I think Tennessee may be the place."

Holloway isn't ranked highly right now but will rocket up the rankings once they are updated. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if CBP doesn't call Wright and see if he wants to commit first since I think Cashmere holds just a slight edge on our board. Both are solid prospects and both want to commit pretty soon.

Jerry Meyer of Rivals has this to say:

Good point guard. Little small but plays bigger. Executes high ball screen. Can penetrate and hit the perimeter shot. Good floor presence. Solid all around player. Should move up in rankings.

Good news. How are things looking with Eliot Williams? Still the same?

Bout the same. Rumors are that Memphis was trying to bad mouth UT and Elliot's parents found out and have eliminated them. All signs point more and more to a UT/Duke battle with UVA slowly slipping out.

That would be incredible if we land a guy over Duke! It seems like we have a good shot with him.

I would prefer Wright, which is why I think CBP may be stalling. Wright is visiting either this weekend or next. Either would be great, I just think Wright is a little better overall.

Cashmere's parents actually contacted Bruce for his recruitment. It appears Cashmere will be visiting this weekend and the staff feels pretty confident.

I, personally, would be surprised if we don't have a commitment from a PG in the next 2-3 weeks. I think Holloway would be committed but CBP wants to wait a little bit for Wright since he will be in this weekend.

I'll also say the staff feels comfortable where they are with Elliot. Memphis is practically Steve Forbes second home right now.

I definitely think we are good with EW. I'm just wondering who we will get for the other post. Singleton's game is growing old and it seems like alot of the other possibilities either just aren't that interested in us or don't want to wait for CS.
