Terrelle Pryor

I would even be more annoyed if it were UT in the mix. Make a decision already! You've had a year!!

Yeah, b/c he has NOTHING else to do but take visits and think about what campus he likes better. I mean, who needs to take time out to actually play their sport or make good enough grades to stay in school?

You are right, what a fruit loop.

I think the ncaa should make the rule that if you don't sign on national signing day, you should have to wait until the next year. This would make it fair for everyone and stop all this nonsense.
.

The NCAA already has a rule. Pryor has to sign by April 1...every recruit has that option.

National Signing Day is the first day that a recruit can sign with his selected school...not the only day. Pryor isn't getting any more time to decide than every other athlete in the country has. If he wanted the attention, he could have had his announcement in front of a national audience on ESPN....he's not holding out for attention - he's undecided. I don't see the rationale for bashing a kid who takes his time, within the rules, in order to make a decision that he's comfortable with.

I also fail to see how the current system isn't "fair for everyone."

All of the teams involved have to hold a scholarship out for Pryor that could have gone to someone else. If Pryor does not pick your school..tadaa...you have just pissed away a scholarship that you could have used. Granted the teams involved will use that scholarship but the caliber of player will be dramatically less since they had to wait past signing day.

All the recruits are 18 years old and they seemed to decide and sign on time. Abrams-Ward is planning on playing (football & basketball) at UT yet he was able to sign on national signing day. The guy is loving the exposure. I still say he knows where he is going and has had his mind made up for a while now. Once he commits though, the spotlight will be off of him until fall pratice begins.

I watched a news report on him and he told the cameraman and reporter he hated attention and anyone who knew him would tell you the same. He also said he wishes everyone would stay out of his business. Doesn't sound like someone who wants attention.

I realize April 1st is the deadline, but why have Feb. 6th as the national signing day if you don't have to sign? Why not just just give all recruits until April 1st and don't worry about it?
Really I don't get that.

He's 18 years old, this is a big decision for someone that age with all of the attention that he's been getting. The fact that he's committing to two programs (football & basketball) makes his decision that much harder. Remember Ronald Curry didn't sign until the last week of March. Give the guy a break, he's going to upset a lot of people regardless of his decision, it's a lot to put on such a young man's shoulders.

Oh Please...There are plenty of kids not much older than him making life and death decisions everyday in IRAQ. And quite frankly, he is not going to UT, so who cares...

This has nothing to with Iraq and the war, please refrain from the pampered athlete and young soldier overseas comparisons because in no circumstances are they related. All this deals with is a kid who is taking his time to make a decision he feels comfortable with, yet being criticized for using the amount of time the rules permit. He has the option of waiting and taking his time. If he HAD to sign on NSD he would have, but he doesn't have to. Simple as that.

I could care less where he goes but it would be funny if he left Michigan without a decent QB.

They signed an Athlete with attentions of giving him a shot at QB.
That said, I am sure they are still working hard to get Pryor and hoping. However, they will have other options.

BTW, I don't like Rodriguez and it would be funny!:eek:lol:

The thread should have ended with this post.
