Texas A&M seating allocation

FYI: One must have a Pro rating to parachute into a stadium, as it is considered a demonstration jump. Also, one must have the appropriate permits & clearance, file the flight plan, jump plan, etc, etc. Winds are tricky around big stadiums. It take true skill to adapt and fly one's canopy to target.

I do not have a Pro rating and have not performed a demonstration jump into a college stadium (some of my jumping buddies have done so). I have landed on some ball fields, selecting them as "outs" when I could not make it to the designated landing area. Only once were there people present. Some pointed, a few applauded, fewer still approached me to ask if I was OK, one asked sternly if I took into account the potential hazard to those on the ground... C'est la vie. C'est le parachutisme.

so you are saying there is a chance!! what if he hires one of those tandem sky diving companies and claims he has an emergency while in the middle of the jump and they have to land at their seat? lol

Just thought I would pass out some information on our seating allocation from Texas A&M. UT was given sections 130,131,349,350, and 418-421.

Flashseats.com is the cheapest tickets I've seen thus far and is fully backed by the university. The tickets load directly to your credit card.

We have seats in 411 through the UT ticket office. Anyone else get this section?

Anyone ever done the alumni association big orange tailgate? Thinking about doing it for this game since we have never been and won't have any clue where to go. Also need to get parking, will check out parkme.com

This may have already been mentioned, but if you are going to a&m, need to go down a day early and go to midnight yell practice. I assume they still have it. It is Friday night at the stadium. Usually huge crowd and they practice cheers (animalistic grunts as we use to call them) and have a pep rally. Very unusual traditions, but actually pretty cool. In the past was free. I would make sure they still have it, but if they do, it is something very unique and worth it.

Very interesting. Not sure I want to drive all the way from Houston and back to hear them grunting. LOL

We are parked in Central Garage. Where is the Big Orange Tailgate?

You can also get parking through parkme.com. I grabbed a spot in the central parking garage for 31. More than i normally pay, but I have no idea about their parking situation either.

We are parking in Central Garage as well..maybe we should have our own tailgate party there? I'll bring the chips and wings!:)

I came home after watching TN beat GA and found that my neighbor had stolen my UT flag and replaced it with a horrible A&M flag! The fight is on!

Hey guys, been hanging around the boards and appreciating reading about the 2016 UT squad and providing some info where I can.

For anyone interested, Midnight Yell is a weekly tradition. It's totally free of charge and gates typically open 11:00 - 11:30 pm. Short walk from there to Northgate to enjoy a beer and checking out the local talent afterwards:rock:

If anyone is still looking for parking, I had seen ParkMe recommended earlier in the thread. West Campus Garage is closest to the stadium and provides the best post game egress. It also is smack dab in the middle of West Campus tailgating. Southside Garage is great as well, about a 5 min walk to Kyle and close proximity to Spence Park tailgating. After that, you'll want to look at Northside Garage, as it is right on University adjacent to Northgate and very close to the stadium as well.

If those are full, there are cheaper lots further out that aren't too bad of a walk from Kyle and offer shuttle service before/after the game over to campus if you're not up for the hike.

Edit: Just saw above post on Big Orange Tailgate being located at the Rec. West Campus Garage is next door to the Rec and all bus routes from the outlying lots should drop off next to WCG/the Rec.
