I did not like the way that looked to his neck. Hope it's just a stinger, but could be very bad.

Manziel, Mariotta, & Winston are my Top 3 for Heisman right now....Bryce Petty would be 4th

It's so easy to hate the disrespectful brat.

You know someone is a d'bag when you're a Tennessee fan and you find yourself cheering for Alabama against them. I hope LSU smacks him around too.

Surely I'm not the only one who hates 'Johnny D***head'?

I'm not sure why the above GIF is not a penalty. After every TD he looks at the crowd and does the "money signal", I'm assuming that's what its referencing. Yeldon does it and includes the throat slash and its an automatic penalty. When Yeldon was essentially mocking Manziel and saying not anymore with the slash. The kid is out of this world talented and its hard to knock his physical game but he is an ass wipe. His antics will put him on a stretcher in the NFL, no one is going to respect him, if he's lucky enough to see the field at the next level.

Good news it seems on the Ole Miss front...

After a few minutes — in church-like silence — Bryant was strapped to a stretcher and taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. The first sign that the injury wasn’t as severe as it initially appeared came as Bryant gave a double thumbs up as he was being take off the field.

The second came Sunday morning when, in a text to Hugh Kellenberger of the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, head coach Hugh Freeze said “things look good” as it pertains to Bryant’s prognosis. While the initial diagnosis is a concussion, Freeze said further testing will be done on the player.

I can't stand the guy, but I still want him to beat Alabama.

My take, guys in the NFL basically (or general) are actually at an advantage long term not having the wheels. Steve Young said it best, just because you can run doesn't mean you should run, sooner or later you have to sit in the pocket and throw the ball on time and in tight windows.

Drew Brees is very athletic, yet you are lucky if you see him run one time a game, he could easily average 40-60 yards rushing a game, but he doesn't... why? Long term and even medium term the percentages are not on your side in the NFL.

The best college player doesn't always translate over to the best NFL player... my guess, he could have a good year or two until NFL defenses adjust.

That's why I kind of chuckle every time they act like the position of NFL quarterback is going to "evolve". It happens every 5 years or so, a bunch of mobile QBs come out, have a few great years, and everyone acts like the dropback passer will go away. Hardly.

These mobile QBs will last if they consistently prove they can pass. That's why Steve McNair made it long term in the NFL, and Vince Young didn't.

Totally agree. His mobility won't bail him out on every single play in the NFL, because the defenses are faster and more disciplined.

Haven't you heard the Wildcat is going to take over the NFL.

:)

Eventually, it comes down to a QB that can hit a guy in a tight window on time, of course, all the other things add up to get the QB into that position... but your percentages go down drastically (eventually) if you can't do that.

He is a great athlete but all I see at the end of the day is a Cam Newton minus 50 lbs. Good luck surviving a few NFL seasons with that style.

What works in the NCAA doesn't always work in the NFL.
