So the neighbor and I were just talking and it dawns on me.

The Big 12 not expanding and Tom Hermann. Yeah it's a tin foil hat theory but think about it.

If the Big 12 expands they gotta take Houston. Hermann gets 5M and stays as now he's at a P5 school. BUT TX blocks that to up their bargaining position. Yes they have that kind of clout in the Big 12. And I wouldn't put this past them.

Hadn't seen this mentioned before on here if it was already covered.

Just to add what you mentioned, if Herman loses 3 games this year, is he still the presumptuous target of Texas? They are currently losing to SMU tonight and may or may not comeback to win. Houston still has to play Louisville on November 17th.

This is just my opinion. I think that Texas will try one more time for a "sure thing" and go after Saban by throwing $10M per at him. With their endowment, Texas can afford to get into bid war with Bama. I am just not sure that losing 3 games at Houston will be as attractive to the Longhorns.

Texas is going to have plenty of options to choose from. Saban, Chip Kelly (recruited Texas while at Oregon), Chris Peterson, Tom Herman, and probably several other names will surface.

Again, this is all just my opinion. Who knows. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Don't forget Les.
