Ok, if we're playing the hypothetical game, imagine I am sitting right next to the first person that got shot. I pull out my gun and shoot the perp.

Do you believe the shooter or any other person that commits acts like these go through the carry permit application process? Do you believe they go to gun shops to buy weapons?

People shooting at a crowd of unarmed folks = lots of people dead except the shooter (Unless they kill themselves), this has been proven over and over and over again. And people crazy enough and determined enough to do this can certainly find available suppliers on the black market if not a store. Gun control just simply takes guns out of law abiding citizens hands. Like I said, determined people will find a way to get their hands on weapons.

While how this guy said it (and most likely believes) is way off base and retarded, I do believe we are seeing a lot of these tragedies because of the moral decay in this country.

However, legislation won't fix that and I know that. That is on society at large not government.

And my god this is not political. Who cares what party the shooter belonged to or who he affiliated with. He was a sick bastard who hurt a lot of people and deserves any justice coming to him. I'm looking at both this doofus congressman and the press... why can't we just mourn the loss and ostracize the murderer? Why do we have to grab our pet agenda and push that forward? (I know I know don't let a good disaster go to waste)
