They will improve. I have to believe they will start to recruit more SEC talent once they are in.. With their name and brand they will start to play at the level of, let's say Kentucky on a good day or maybe South Carolina. Maybe push around Ole Miss and Arkansas. HeheCome on man, Texas is a big disappointment vs. wimpy TCU.
I might have to rethink my screen name once they’re in the SEC. Honestly Texas never crossed my mind when thinking of college football. Your assessment seems spot on.They will improve. Your screen name should be the real UT because Tennessee was founded 89 years sooner than Texas and they would be Mexicans if it wasn’t for the Tennessee Volunteers!I might have to rethink my screen name once they’re in the SEC. With the loss to TCU i think 8-4 Texas i think will be playing 8-4 Duke in the Cheez-It Bowl.Texas does need to start bringing it again as far as its football program. Overall though they’re the 800 lb gorilla and have won the NACDA directors cup for being the most successful athletic department in the country for the past two years.
South Carolina needs to be in the ACC and FSU and or Georgia Tech in the SEC.Texas will always be in the Southwest Conference along with Ok. It's a sad day when they abandoned those traditions of playing each other for the right to be leader goes away all for the love of money. This conference jumping by teams just reeks IMHO. To me it dilutes the schools in both conferences. Should have never let in Missouri/Ark either.
Yeah, that QB looked like he didn't have the skills to be in a top tiered program. Hard to believe with all the talent in Texas area they struggle at that position. They'd won that game with a good QB. Makes me question the coach to not see this void back in the summer practiceTexas needs a QB--badly. Watching the game I thought don't they have a 2nd or 3rd string QB? Sorry offensive performance. Defense played well, offense sucked. It would also help if the receivers could catch a ball.
