Texas doesn’t deserve to be in the SEC!

Texas needs a QB--badly. Watching the game I thought don't they have a 2nd or 3rd string QB? Sorry offensive performance. Defense played well, offense sucked. It would also help if the receivers could catch a ball.

maybe they have a mediocre one coming soon.

I thought about this Mo. thing most of the game yesterday. I came to the conclusion after beating them badly, I had no feeling one way or the other about the outcome. (don't have to contemplate a loss this year) I got to thinking there is nothing about Mo. sports that I have any interest of feeling about at all. I wonder as many do, why we ever took them into the SEC.. TV, recruiting grounds??? We really don't need the state of Mo. TV exposure nor do we really need their recruits. In football, we would (the conference as a whole) get most of the guys we go after because, well, most want to play in this or an equal conference. I think they (Mo) would have been a better fit all the way around in the Big 10.

Agreed. I guess I know why the conference was looking to expand in general (although I’ll never understand why with Missouri). Personally, I don’t like even Arkansas or South Carolina being in . . . and A&M just gives me the creeps.

But oh well. I like Texas better than anyone else in the conference other than Tennessee, so I’m good with the Horns.

I’d much rather have Texas in our conference than South Carolina Gamecocks. Send them back to the ACC. Useless

So what would be the perfect number of teams and who would they be in the SEC in a perfect college football world?

Texas deserves to be in but man are they the biggest failure in CFB history.

They basically got a conference for over a century where they were the premier state school in a league full of schools in their state and Arkansas.

I mean look at the original southwest:

Texas - Premier State school

Texas A&M - Auburn of the state

Texas Tech - Like the Memphis of the state

Baylor - Like Vanderbilt

TCU - Vanderbilt 2x

SMU - Vanderbilt 3x

Rice - Vanderbilt 4x

Houston - MTSU

I mean, this is literally like Tennessee forming a conference with Memphis, Vandy, Kentucky, ETSU, Tennessee Tech, TSU, and UT Martin.

Texas is getting dominated by tiny private schools in their own conference! What is TCU as a school other than a glorified Belmont or Lipscomb? No way they should be out recruiting or beating Texas. Same with Baylor.

No reason for Texas being a shitshow the last 10 years.

Tennessee at least has excuses (our state doesn't produce a lot of blue chips and we have to play Alabama, Florida, and Georgia in stronger states for CFB prospects).

Texas has nothing standing in their way other than their own suckage.

The longhorns are a cancer, y'all will realize this soon enough. Can't believe the SEC is letting them in the conference.

Texas, maybe their problem is their coaching staff. They have had high level recruiting classes, just like Texas A&M,wwhose record sucks.Possibly with two new sets of staff, they would be much improved.Recall with Jimbo, one year they win the national.championship, then they.got killed.by Oregon 59-20.Coaching.

As much crap as Texas talks……..they definitely deserve this.

They deserve to be utterly humbled year after year after year.

Maybe right now but not once they arrive in the league in a couple years if they continue to recruit the way they did for the past couple cycles. Sark is a good football coach and once they get the players, they'll be a tough out I'm afraid.
