If he was bigger than 180, he would probably be the starter next year.

At his size, he’s at most a gadget type player. This isn’t a knock on us but we wouldn’t do his skill set justice at RB.

Need someone with a little size.
Russell would be perfect but too much drama

So are we rotating primarily Bishop and Lewis next season? Would a guy who is set on starting somewhere be happy with that situation?
There were rumors of Bishop potentially hitting the portal at one point. Even if he's doesn't, we're one early season injury away from being in big trouble in the RB room.

Honestly, I don't see the need. With what we have returning along with the incoming HS recruits, do we really need another RB from the portal?

Strongly disagree. If anything Heupel is more than willing to play to whatever our strengths may be when it comes to talent.

Hes aware enough to know you play to your talent. Example, Heupel would have turned AK into a Heisman contender.

I don’t necessarily disagree with your point, but you can’t just cite a hypothetical situation as an example

Okay then let’s look how the offense has changed every year to match personnel. He doesn’t attempt to stick a player in a spot they can’t thrive.

Our strength is Sampson this year so we played into that. I think that proves the hypothetical would be a strong possibility based on the evidence of the games we have laid out before us while he has been the head coach at Tennessee.

UCF for example, he had a non-running QB and tailored the offense for him. This is what good coaches do and it’s what Heupel does.
