Texas vs. Nebraska - Big 12 Championship

Did you actually watch the game??...I mean really? Huskers D is damn good!

LOL yeah I watched the game. There D line is good....The one guy is damn good, but there secondary isn't all that. I would say Bama's D'line is just as good if not better and everything else blows Nebraska out of the water.

you get what u deserve if you dont have the awareness to get rid of the ball. the clock was at zero.

The ball hit the ground out of bounds with 1 second left on the clock. Under no reason, in any league, on any level, does that qualify as "zero left on the clock"

and as far as get what you deserve? Nebraska couldnt drive the ball in to win from the 10 and they kicked the kickoff - with less than 2 min left and needing to make the stop - out of bounds. They just as much got what they deserved

They aren't good. I'd prefer to see a team face Bama that I believe has a chance of winning.

Sorry but a ranked team playing a ranked team is still exactly what the numbers say before the teams. A ranked 9 win team is still a ranked 9 win team, which is a good team.

Well I'm not comparing them to Bama. Bama's D is better. You have to remember, Colt plays in the Big 12, where great D's, there are not alot of...so I can see why he said they were great. He will see the same or better from Bama...for sure!!!

i saw it and i can assure you that if that was in any other game with less on the line they would have kept it the same.

Baloney.

Again, watch it, ball bounces - hits the ground - out of bounds and then the second runs off. That gets reviewed by the booth and changed in every game. Would happen in Neyland too if UT was playing UF, Bama, or even Leinart's Southern Cal

Great. That totally changes my perspective. When I cast my vote tomorrow I'll be sure to keep Texas ahead of TCU.

Well what I'm not getting is....a #2 playing a #22 in season is a "possible upset game" and a close win is considered "just getting by but they were still playing a pretty good team" and the win is counted as a win.

Why in the world should it be any different in a conference championship game at the end of the year than it is in a game at any other point in the year?

Teams are as good as their records and their rankings as far as CFB polls go.

I'm going with the eyeball test. I don't think Texas is better than TCU. If I were voting in a poll, I wouldn't penalize the Longhorns for a win.

TX came out on the short end of the stick last year when Okla jumped them towards the end of the season....

Playoffs!!!!

I've looked all over but can't find it anywhere in the rules. I would think that the clock could only be stopped by the referee upon an incomplete pass. I guess this is not the case.

Wow... Nebraska gift-wrapped that game. Out of bounds kickoff, horsecollar on a big reception, then McCoy's clock management. Suh should have waited a second to break the block and run at him, the time might have expired with the ball in the air.

Cool to see Suh do well. I live about 20 blocks from where he went to HS.

how many times during a game would you put that second back on? what makes the last 10 seconds of the game special? it's wwe...
