Texas will change things

I think it will be interesting when Texas joins the league next year and upsets Alabama’s apple cart. Texas and their booster money and influence have ran roughshod over Big 12 for decades. My guess is that they aren’t going tolerate all this Alabama bias in all things football and maybe, just maybe we will see a leveling of the playing field (or at least 45 degree correction).
Doesn't matter about boosters. It's about who's the hottest team. Who has the best shot at the playoffs. It's all about the $ for the conference.

Yep ... the SEC leadership will do ANYTHING to get one or more teams in the CF Playoffs which would bring anywhere from $25 to $50 million dollars to the SEC's coffers. With that much money involved they don't seem to mind a little cheating to ensure that they get their chosen team(s) to the championship game.
This is exactly right. We could beat Georgia and Bama and win out and still likely wouldn't be Top 4. If Bama or Georgia win out, they have the "reputation" to get in.

I'll tell you though, if Georgia stumbles AT ALL, they get dropped. I feel like america is chomping at the bit to drop them down in the polls. Thankfully for them they have the easiest schedule in college football.

Texas and Oklahoma won't put up with Bama's shenanighans. They will demand their share of the favorable calls and alumni refs. This still wont be a good thing for the team. The Vols bring in a lot of money and viewership to the SEC, to still get treated like crap by the conference and Saban's lackeys.

Its probably been past time for TN to pull up stakes and leave the SEC for another conference or just go independent like Notre Dame. It would throw a much deserved monkey wrench in the SEC's stupid conference expansion scheme.

With Texas entering the SEC, also look for the complaining from College Station to increase significantly.

no Ga Tech does not belong in the SEC. The conference is too big already and doesn't need to keep expanding.
my comment was to the one who suggested that Texas 'belongs' in the SWC; their original place in life....that is all....

Tinfoil hat ... maybe. But I'd prefer to wear a tinfoil hat rather than a blindfold that many others wear.
What blindfold? The one that saw bad officiating , horrible coaching, bad play calling, ZERO halftime or in game adjustments, dropped passes, blown coverages, horrible play calling? That blindfold?

Nah. It’s all the refs. It’s always the refs. Anytime we lose, TN fans want to scream oh if it weren’t for the refs. Pathetic. How about if would have executed in the red zone and Heupel coached like he should have in the second half, the refs excuse wouldn’t have been needed? How about that?

After watching that crap Saturday I find it hard to disagree. If that game Saturday is called fairly Tennessee wins by 10 or more.

Texas isn’t in the conference yet. Sec cares about money, Saban has been a cash cow. Things will change.

Lol, Sankey is buddies with ole Nicky.

Long as he’s still coaching, he’s the golden boy of the SEC.

Texas will always be in the Southwest Conference to me. It pains me to see the Southeast conference get teams that have no connection to it. Arkansas belongs in the Southwest Conference as well. Money destroys everything
Agree with the money comment.

Johnny Come Lately’s don’t walk into this conference and have that kind of pull or influence over long standing, founding member SEC teams just because they’re Texas. They can NOT tolerate it all they want, but they will be subject to the same s****y officiating and the SEC Alabama jock sniffing that goes on, regardless.
