Texas WR Xavier Worthy in portal

Watched this kid against TCU and he was not impressive. He looked like he was giving very little effort at all. He may have already checked out by then but definitely short armed or gave up on routes a lot.
Who did look impressive with that sorry ass qb they were playing. I saw him against Wvu with back up qb and he was awesome

The Texas QB may have a lot to do with his actions in that game.

need a solid QB from portal with high completion %age and who can read defenses.
Or a tweaked offense. Think of a mix between the Cam Newton Auburn offense in the run game with air raid passing concepts. Use Joe’s size in the power running game with a lot of outside runs to Wright and Sampson throw in some jet sweeps and triple options too. There are other ways to get WRs the ball besides throwing it to them. Give him shorter intermediate throws where guys like White, Holiday, and potentially Seldon or Williams (if he doesn’t work out at CB) can turn a drag or crossing route into a big play. Then have guys like Keyton and Bru as possession WRs. Hit the portal heavy on defense to where 35 a game is enough to win 9-10 games rather than needing 42. We’re truly going to find out just how good of a coach Heupel is. Is he going to try to turn Joe into Hooker and make him fit his offense or will he tailor the offense to fit the personnel. Good coaches win with talent that fits their scheme. Great ones adapt and change their scheme to fit their talent. It was obvious Saturday night what we have with Milton. Now it’s up to Heupel to decide what to do with him

Look at JM's stats.....his completion % is only 4% lower than HH and QB rating is only 5 lower. I think we will be fine with JM at the helm.

One thing I have noticed about Milton is he leads receivers more than HH does, I think we some more reps with our guys, he will get on the same page with them.

We have three quality QBs…. One of them will step up…. Not worried at all.
not worried at all??? i think the guys we have will have a lot of potential but you feel confident with a qb that still cant get his over throws dialed in at all??? a sophmore that hasn't play enough to know what we have with him(and coming off injury)??? a true freshman that hasnt even thrown a pass in knoxville yet???

they need to bring in a guy with experience to compete for the job.

No ….. they don’t…. We have Heup and that’s all we need…. He will figure it out from the talent that we have.

I’m not worried at all either, just in case you’re wanting to type more question marks

you do you man. "not worried at all" is a bold statement to make based off what we've seen from milton so far. i hope he proves me wrong. i think he is a great story for sticking around. i just can't get there yet with him..

So what have you seen this year that has you worried? Other than some over throws in bad weather against Vandy in his first full game as a starter since last year?

EA made a great point yesterday. He compared HH to Peyton in that we took every QB directly after him for granted because they weren’t Peyton. And no one would be. He said Casey was a great QB and we critized him constantly because he “wasn’t Peyton”

It’s true and I fear we’re gonna do the same with Hendon

I've seen the same issues that he has had since he got to michigan. hard for me to blame his throws at vandy on bad weather. yes it was raining hard at times but there was no loose grip on those throws.
