She had one bad game where she fouled out in 19 minutes against NC State. That must have been the only game where she played against anyone with size. In the other 7 games she's have only 16 fouls total.

Texas? How does their coach not get fired? She has wasted more talent, with less results, than our last coach. Same goes for Duke's coach. As for a "must win" as poster stated, why is this a must win? We aren't going undefeated, most likely won't at home, we will make tournament even if we lose this game, as we beat ND, and ain't no way the committee won't put them in with 14 loses. This game, as a loss, could be a good teaching point for SEC schedule, and better teams. In no world is this a must win game. We regularly beat texas, as do all good teams they play regularly, but a loss isn't a season ruiner.

Because Aston is Jody Conradt's hand picked Golden Girl. Jody has run out of good will regarding Aston...expect a coaching change following this season.

I would enjoy seeing Tennessee and Texas play in men's basketball in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge and see CRB beat his former employer in the future.

A must win for Texas since their coach is on the hot seat. Tennessee needs to continue to play well. Must wins for Tennessee starts when conference play starts IMO.

Texas will be the first team the lady vols have played with height and length to match. Who will match up with Holmes and they have a guard that can light it up. Hopefully, there will be more set offensive plays starting with this game.

As odd as this sounds, my hope is that Tennessee will actually play better against an opponent with similar size to what they’re used to practicing against.

Think about it: Whether they are scrimmaging 5-on-5 against each other in practice or against a squad of male players, they are pretty much always practicing against opponents with size. It seems like some of the small, but very quick, opponents that Tennessee has met have given them fits until they figure it out.

Several of the top teams this year have great size, so I’m anxious to see how the Lady Vols handle more physically imposing players. It’ll be a great test — guaranteed.

We need to go into this game with the mindset that were the underdog gonna need to play hard for forty minutes with minimal mistakes.

Texas is a cupcake and has been for a number of years. The players may have talent but consistently underperform. Texas is another example of the shortage of top quality coaches in WCBB.

Over the past decade, we here in Lady Vol Land haven’t felt like we could depend on a normally consistently underperforming opponent to come to our house and underperform against US. Too often we’ve seen teams come to our house and have their best games of the season, so we’re naturally leery of games like this one. It’s going to take some time, and a lot more wins against teams we’re SUPPOSED to beat, before we can break that mindset.

We know they have underperformed but they have the potential to play a great game and have the talent to beat anyone if that happens. Hopefully Tennessee is going into the game knowing this going in thinking it will be easy ends up getting you beat.
