Yes he was!!! It was his first season under difficulty circumstances.....he did a good job, deserves a pat on the back and gave us a lot of hope for the future. We are celebrating an NIT bid and getting ran off the court by MTSU way too much. It is all about perception....he was perceived to have a bad team so we were pleased that we we were better than expected... This year perception has changed and we will all be disappointed if we have the same season again.

Martin is paid to make the NCAA tourney and Dooley is paid to make an upper tier bowl game. Both coaches first seasons was acceptable but not what they are paid to do.

You're flat out wrong if that's truly what you believe. Believe it or not, AD's can actually be rational, Hart was fully aware of the situation and CCM was not expected to make he NCAA last year to earn his pay. There's a reason that there was actually talk of a raise in place, because Hart was very happy with the first year.

Expectations and requirements change, CCM will now be expected to make the tourney every year, if he doesn't that's a dissapointment. However, in no way shape or form was he requires to make the dance last year to "earn his check", that's ridiculous.

There are circumstances sometimes that change expectations....was Tom Crean expected to make NCAA tourney every year when he arrived in order to earn his check??? Hell no. There are circumstances, he was entering a rebuilding project(and Ccm was as well, albeit not to the same level), I can assure you the AD didn't say to CCM before the year, "we expect at a minimum you make the NCAA this year, if not, you haven't earned your pay or done your job". Now as I said expectations will change and going forward he will be expected to make it on a yearly basis, but if you really think that was a requirement set by Hart last year that's just incorrect.

I hope there will be a lot of slam dunks this season. I really like it when our players slam dunk the ball. It really gets people excited!!!
