Absolutely. Thank you for this thread. It has been a fun team to watch after they were written off by so many........to turn it around and get to Omaha. Love having a baseball team like this and being in the mix for Omaha every year. Great season, love the sport and love this team.

Well said. UT sports is in the top 1% of schools in the country but too many don't realize it. Football won the Orange Bowl, both BB programs went to the sweet 16, and baseball/softball both to the World Series. White has proven he is worth every penny.

I agree but I’d like to see an even larger investment into baseball. We need a bigger stadium badly.

Yes - doing so is tough due to land issues. Hard to do the massive renovation or complete tear down that's needed in a constricted time period. I think the solution would be for them to play a year at the new downtown park (2025???) while they tear down and rebuild LNS.

Last year, watching Notre Dame celebrate on our field, was an awful feeling. Tonight, while it’s sad to see the season come to an end, I’m proud of our team. They clawed their way back when most everyone around the country had written them off, and they earned their way to Omaha. It was a heck of a ride!

The committee said stadium size was a main reason for Southern Miss getting the Super Regional. I don’t think Coach Vitello will allow that to happen again. That will make stadium expansion an immediate need.

This team represented my alma mater extremely well and made me proud of them. To get to Omaha - especially when last year's team didn't - is a hell of an accomplishment. We are one of the best baseball programs in the country. Thanks to Tony, his staff, and especially those players. They gave their all for Tennessee.

As painful as tonight is, it was even more painful from that 2008-2017 period knowing our season was over before it even started. It remember yearning every spring for a baseball team that competed, made t to Hoover, and was fun to watch. Thanks to Coach V, we have that now. I an’t wait to see what the 2024 edition of the BaseVols bring. #GB️

It was a tremendous season with a team that overachieved and is building a tradition of excellence! This coaching staff is simply tremendous and I’m so proud of all the coaches and players and support staff. Great season and loved watching all of it (most of it in person). GBO!

I agree with you. After last the climb up was going to be hard. Lost so much of the roster. That is also what made the loss in the supers so hard. Having that much talent and ability does not come along often and we all wanted the a CWS appearance and ultimately the NC.

It wasn’t “stadium” size. It was grass size. Because they could sell 1k more seats in an open field, they got it. Lol.

Congratulations to our '23 BaseVols. Terrific season. With the entire starting lineup of the '22 team graduating, the rebuilding of the team was something to be very proud of. Congratulations to the players who pulled together and competed, to the coaching staff for developing an exciting team, and to the Vols fans for their persistent support. Terrific season.

Just think, both our softball and baseball programs not only made their world series, but were competitive. So much to be proud of. Thanks, thanks, thanks.

I think it was just old fashioned favoritism and they used that as an excuse
