What an outstanding season! Winning something in March means something to a program that has rarely ever done so. You're very close to handing us the greatest season in Vol history and I appreciate it as an old guy who has followed the Vols for a long time. Never know how many seasons any of us have left. Just glad to head into the NCAA T with a win for the first time in 43 years.

When I watched that idiot UK coach on the sidelines, making it all about him, yesterday I was thankful we have a classy coach. I was disappointed that the P&B teams did not raise any banners after very successful seasons, now Barnes can get some credit. His first 5 star recruit led the way, JJJ.

Yep, don’t want to hear another word EVER about that $5 million contract. This tournament win alone is worth that to this old fan.
And to hear the way the players talk about him is outstanding too. Can’t ask for a better man to be at the helm. You Barnes haters can go root for some other school. Don’t let the door hit you in the butt on the way out.

I understand the feeling as over the last 43 years we have watched our beloved vols snatch defeat from the jaws of victory many times. This is probably the best team I've seen from them in my over 60 years of being a fan.

I was so excited when we hired him. It is paying off.
i met Barnes while in the Army in Kuwait in 2006. He came over for a “hoops with troops” event. He was the Texas coach and had Durant at the time. I was an Army journalist covered the event. Pearl beat him that year, but I was so glad when we picked him up as a coach. Other coaches that came to the event included Izzo, K Sampson, Tubby, Gary Williams.

i couldn’t be more proud of this team and coaching staff. Coach Barnes is the Deacon and couldn’t ask for a better leader and role model of these young men. Wow! What a season!
