wow. I had totally forgot about the Brew Crew signing Eric Gagne. No way do they come close to winning the Central. Everyday I gain confidence in my Cards pick.

It doesn't matter if you aren't willing to concede the division to the Mets. The Phillies will be happy to take it. Both teams are better than the Braves right now. Has Kotsay injured himself yet? :eek:hmy:

The Phillies took a little bit of a hit today with Brad Lidge going down for 6 weeks.

i meant to post that earlier. Says he'll be out four to six weeks, but it seems for some reason no other position in baseball stays injured like a closer.

Everyone needs to be pulling for the Yankees to win it all this year so we can have a final WS in Yankee Stadium... I know I will.

Come on guys, who's with me????

Also for NL rookie of the year my money is on this guy...

Jay "Mother F'n" Bruce, #1 prospect in all of baseball and 2007 minor league player of the year.
Since Bruce is being blocked right now I'm going to have to change my pick for NL ROY to Johnny Cueto. He made his major league debut going 7 innings, 92 pitches, 68 strikes, 1 hit, 1 run, 0 walks, 10 K's. He was making people look foolish with his 96 MPH fastball, 89-92 MPH slider and Mid 80's changeup.

I'm glad their going out playing the O's, in the regular season. Yankee Stadium is grossly overrated.

well I picked three teams that made to the playoffs. Although I think only the Angels actually finished where I expected. I was going to cheer for the Twinkies in the playoffs, but they bombed tonight.

The Angels were the class of the AL, but now I wonder if they screwed themselves up by being in such a bad division (yeah, i know) and got to coast through late August and September. However, the White Sox have played a whole lot of baseball lately and will probably get tired, the Red Sox are banged up and surely the Rays have to come crashing back to Earth soon. That being said, I hope my prediction was wrong and the BoSox sweep the Angels, only to get swept by the Rays. Or, the BoSox and Angels could both get swallowed up by a black hole and lose by default. Either way will work for me.

As for the NL? I hate to say it, but I'm taking the Dodgers.

They'll be swept by the Cubs. Mark it down.

Yeah, did not really expect Dempster to throw up all over himself last night. Way to show up in a big game. 7 BB's in 4+??? The word "choke" comes to mind.

it bothers me to no end, but the Dodgers are good. Really good.

Had to be a little tough for Cubs fans to watch Greg Maddux come in and finish the game though.

Yeah, you and whatever TV station, I'm guessing FOX, is covering the World Series.

That or a Chicago Series, but that's looking pretty dim right now.
